    Ireland Under 21

Just noticed that Longford are getting a Under 21 game against Isreal. How come the showgrounds never gets Ireland under age games. When held in dublin they get a few thousand supporters, and longford id say the crowd would be alrite.but if a game like this was played in the showgrounds with the likes of Stephen Kelly,Aidan McGeady,Willo Flood,Stephen Elliott and Co playing, the North West soccer public would easily fill the Showgrounds. The only reason i can think of is a **** pitch, but maybe not enough is being done to make Ireland under age teams play here.

I was down in the Showgrounds for a friendly 2 pre-seasons ago and from what I remember, ye only have 1 class stand. It might not look as good on tv as Flancare does with its 1 class stand and then the rest of the ground being all seater.

Don't games have to be held within 75 miles of the senior game to faciliate fans travelling though?

Yeah I remember that alright, and in fairness our ground is a lot better than Terryland. Last Tuesday was my first time in Terryland and I never realised how bad their ground actually was. It's sh!te

Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
