The board of St Pats have convened to endorse Stephen Kenny...........lol
Kind of reminds me of the headline in the Skibereen Eagle back in the 30's when they warned Hitler that "The Skibereen Eagle will be keeping an eye on Germany"

Being charitable they are backing the LOI but the statement reads a bit pompous

Much the same as myself. On one hand, it's nice to see, but on the other hand it's all sorts of mental.

It’s part of a cunning plan to disrupt Dundalk. Expect Cork to do it next. Or maybe not...

The idea is good, as in can all LOI clubs come together and show public displeasure with how the game is being governed here, but it is terribly worded and does come across a bit strange.
IMO this is possibly designed to undermine Delany and the FAI publicly by claiming that Irish football doesn't want whoever they are after as it does seem Kenny has been completely overlooked.

The clubs as a collective probably need to start getting involved in the Delany Out agenda, whether or not this kind of approach is correct or might even work who knows.

All part of a cunning plan to keep Kenny in the league and hand the job to Muck McCarthy if Pats REALLY wanted SK to get the job they should have said 'giving him the Ireland job would be detrimental to the future of the LOI' that would have convinced Delaney's Donkeys to appoint him immediately.

The sentiment behind the statement might have merit, but did nobody along the way from initial idea to hitting 'publish' realise how cringe-worthy it would be.

What are the chances of Shamrock Rovers issuing a similar statement as Pats?

About as much chance of Rovers publishing something like that as Dundalk saying they've had a board meeting and recommend Kenny of the job.

I can absolutely imagine Pat O'Sullivan coming out with something like that.

Bohs have released a fourth away shirt with inspirational epigrams from Stephen Kenny embroidered into the fabric.

Next step is full on military coup by League of Ireland clubs to force Kenny into the job, they won't take no for answer. John Caulfield and his Cork Brigade of long range artillery will shell Oriel park to gain access for the Shamrock Rovers SWAT team to smuggle Kenny into a van and dump him up to FAI HQ, while Bohs have a team of snipers to take out Mick as soon as they have a clear shot.

Hilarious stuff from Derry and Pats (co-incidence that they were the two clubs that came out against the FAI on the 5000 euro to come up with a 5 year plan)
The boards of these clubs have a responsibility to their fans to do the best thing for the club...
The best thing for Derry and Pats as clubs is not to continually **** off the FAI,
