Noticed that when Gary ONeill went up to take it there was no mention of this being the winning penalty. Think Hamilton is finally losing his nation holds its breath!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

I can’t believe this thread hasn’t been filled with pages of stuff from Dundalk for the last two years!

Waterford have lots of contenders for this but sacking a manager by text message 3 days before the biggest game for the club in years has to be our number 1!

The Mark Bircham sacking brings back memories of the sacking of Martin Lawlor as Longford town manager only days before the start of the new season in 2002. It turned out to be a good decision but I cant remember the exact circumstances behind it?
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

It wasn't that exciting really. He'd signed hardly any players because nobody wanted to play for him and those that he did sign he'd given ridiculous contracts. The coaches he'd brought in were going to leave too. Some of the players that were there a while and wanted to stay on made the club aware of how bad the situation was so they sacked him and gave Alan Mathews the job. Leading to "sack the board" chants from certain members of Section O whose anonymity I shall respect
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

If this was LoI it would top the GLITW list! Ridiculous stuff.

Considering the upcoming World Cup, Man City, and new Newcastle owners the accusations of 'financing of environmental crimes, price fixing, deforestation, forced evictions, human rights abuses, child labour, slavery, gender discrimination and murder' are not off the wall for football investors. Joe Dixon on the other hand seems a tad off the wall regardless on whether his specific accusations have substance or not. Beyond Staines Town, how about Levski Sofia efforts. By 3.15mins in the vid below, the old nugget of the business model mentioned is new stadium and retail units. Its actually an amusing watch in context of all the proposals for LoI over the years. He might even trump Bill Hulsizer.

Maybe he could throw his lot in with Irish Seas FC...
