What will be in it ??
All levels of football ?? And who will be ditributing it ??
Hi folks. Just to inform you; there's a new magazine just been launched. It's called Munster Soccer, a monthly run on a shoestring budget. Should be in several newsagents in the Munster area by now. Eason's will have it, as well as several small stores.
It's not by a big business, it's by a few fans and students.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
Well, it aint in Easons, nor Reids.
I'm that desperate for a local football mag. I'm thinking of doing my own... Anyone with me?!
Mind you, after the way Spotter went, is there really a market for a local mag?
Football is life. The rest is mere detail...
What happened to Spotter?
City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.

It's in Eason's. News Brothers are distributing it. A lot of smaller shops, too.Originally Posted by colblimp

David Ludzic did Spotter full-time. I'm still holding onto the day job.Originally Posted by Risteard
Looking for people outside Cork to contribute, too. It's meant to cover Munster, Ludzic concentrated on Cork.
Congratulations -- and best of luck with it.Originally Posted by compo
One query: why only Munster?

Love to hear of what is going on in Tipp and Kerry .... if you could approach someone for a few clubs there it would be great, give us a bit of insight.
I know that Leonard O'Hanlon (ex. Waterford United player 25yrs ago) is teaching in CIT if you wanted him to shine some light on anything for you.
Is there are footie up in Clare ??
In my opinion, you'd want to start contacting every programme editor and journalist in Munster to get support content wise.
Also ... you'd want to get every league table and fixture onto your pages and be the source of info for that.

These lads are cleaning up ..... the least they could do is run a €2000 advert for the year, at the very least.
Nightowls, Shipping League etc. ...... have info for all of them.

If theres any games involving munster teams in dublin let me know and ill gladly report on them

2005 - a great year for Irish football
Why only Munster guys ? It's only the 3rd most populous province in the country, ffs !
I really hope this magazine works, but given that national ones with significant coverage of the Inetrnational squad couldn't last the distance I'd be surprised if it did.
Good luck with it. Will try and get my hands on a copy when I'm next over.
Thanks a million. I'll be onto you soon.Originally Posted by aido_b
