I thought Kelly was crap tbh. He's young enough yet though and will still learn.
https://kesslereffect.bandcamp.com/album/kepler - New music. It's not that bad.

Billy Dennehy has announced that he and Darren have retired from football. Slightly surprised nobody took a punt on Billy but maybe his job with the Kerry U17s and presumably his day job stopped that happening

Figures dont add up - more likely to be 40k not 400k.

Makes sense with Burke and farrugia coming in but sorry to see him go.

Not a very prolific striker but every once in a while he would have a match where he was unplayable just not often enough, nice lad by all accounts wish him the best.

Obviously Apollon and most non Rovers fans highly rate Carr. Not really sure why he was always talked down by a lot of Rovers fans.
Good business for Apollon, Carr out of contract in three months so modest enough fee I would think.

Never seemed to fit in at Tallaght. Always impressed me in games against us and am glad he is gone before the last derby of the season ! interesting move for him, best of luck with it.

If the lad could time a run he'd be lethal. Was offside every time the ball went forward against Dundalk, Gartland and Hoare mad him look like a mug. Surprised by the move I have to say.

He didn't score enough goals simple as lads,
I can see why non rovers fans would rate him because if one of the matches where he played well was against your team he looks fantastic but when you saw him every week he was incredibly frustrating.
I'm not glad to see him go butif we go a fee (i assume we did) for a player who will be out of contract in 10 weeks and isnt a starter how bad is that?

Agree with Sbgawa, Carr was head wrecking when you saw him week in week out, nice lad by all accounts but even Carr did not know what he was doing 9 10ths of the time.

Dan Carr caused plenty of difficulty for Dundalk's central defenders on most of the occasions he was played at centre forward. Apart from a tendency to get easily caught offside (partially due to midfielders not playing the ball early enough) his aerial and physical threat was significant in those matches

When he played out wide, he caused little trouble except perhaps for his own full back. In the last league match in Oriel Park he left James Furlong totally exposed for most of the match before eventually getting hooked after 65 minutes.

On the evidence of those games - a decent centre forward

Never first choice for us and his contract is winding down. But we are a selling club and I think that's been made clear in the past year or so, so you'll see more players go.

I wouldn't have said physicality was one of his attributes, especially against Dundalk. His main attribute is his skills and being in the right place to get on the end of moves but too often Rovers don't cut teams apart to make the best of his ability. He'll have a chance of being the main man Apollon given what I've seen from them - their hatstand wasn't great.

Carr is over in cyprus doing his medical, still a year and a half left on his contract with Rovers so should be decent enough money involved.

4 months left on his contract according to the ii soccer guy.

His deal with the Hoops is up at the end of the year, so a small fee would have to be thrashed out to facilitate the move

Even getting a fee akin to a bag of balls would be fine for a player that (a) is out of contract shortly (b) has been regularly criticised by Bradley and (c) appears to be largely unloved by the Rovers sporting intellegensa.

It hardly compares with previous master strokes like getting c€35k from Wimbleton for Dylan Connolly or Cork pocketing a fee from Hartlepool for Denis Behan

Carr is a good player but drifts in and out of games and might show up one game, might not the next. When he's on form he's magic but his inconsistency frustrates people, I'll be sad to see him go because hes a nice lad that can be box office but can't complain about getting a decent fee for someone that's not a guaranteed starter

B and C just aren't true. "shortly" is still longer than most full contract lengths in the league
