Well there's always the 19s of course. (And the 17s if we get really desperate!)

The squad at the moment is -

    Conor Kearns 1
    Dan Tobin 2
Evan Osam 3 (injured for the season)
    Liam Scales 4
    Josh Collins 5
    Yoyo Mahdy 9
Danú Kinsella Bishop 10 (promoted from the 19s)
    Jason McClelland 11
    Richie O’Farrell 12
    Seán McDonald 13
    Jack Ryan 14
    Luke Boore 15
    Gavin Sheridan 16
    Darragh Corcoran 18
Tom Murphy 20 (third choice keeper)
    Paul Doyle 21
    Mark Dignam 22
    Evan Farrell 23
Aaron McGrath 24 (promoted from the 19s)

Scales may or may not be around by the weekend of course. So could be down to 14 of what we would have called our squad at the start of the season.

Wasn't Mandroiu's new deal announced 7 weeks ago. Seems strange to include him in the announcement again today.

Was announced he had agreed terms. Group signing today.
Great news, especially Talbot. Gives us some stability as season reaches conclusion

Limerick's Will Fitgerald to Pats. Looked good against Dundalk last year. Thought he'd end up with us or Rovers. Even Cork given the location.

No mention of Pats in that, is he a winger? We need one to replace Miele so we can go 4-3-3 again.
    Here on a technicality.

Just turned 20 years he is a winger with buckets of skill and potential. Stephen Kenny is a long-time admirer and called him into the home based u-21 training squad earlier this year

I guess Farugia is the winger for Rovers now, i think Fitzgerald is excelent btw if you have signed him he will be a good signing.
When you say replace Mielle ..is he gone?

Cant see a thread on managers, but what is the view from leeside on the new guy coming in as first team manager ? Initially I thought he was under Cotter, but hew will assume control now, as per Indo this am.

    Strange choice ?

Dean Dillon gone to America on a Scholarship.
Nice kid could'nt break into the first team but got his leaving cert in Ashfield college and is taking an alternate path.
Good luck to him, a college degree in the U.S is something that will stand to him whatever happens.
More and more of the young players in Ireland are going to have to look to mainland Europe and America for options the UK is becoming a world league where only the best can make it at the top (Premier , Championship) and the lower leagues just offer a "living" and a ten year "career"

It's one of my biggest regrets that I didn't pursue the American Scholarship program immediately after school here. I knew a few lads who were, pretty average to be fair, who have done really well in life having taken that path.

yes, golfers and athletes have been doing the American thing for years but we were always focused on England in football.

It's a great opportunity. I heard of one guy, who is running a massive coaching school in Chicago, and the fees for it are incredible. All due to the college scholarship he got way back when, and ended up coaching high school football in the city. Think it may have been purchased by Bayern
