Cork no doubt sell a good number of shirts - and probably the highest in the league.

But do you not have that shop largely because you get free or very cheap rent on it ?

Doesn't really make financial sense for most clubs to run shops not in their ground unless they can get a good deal on rent. What would make sense though would be deals with local sports shops or the likes of elverys just get the products in the eyes of consumers rather than them having to go out of their way to get it as is now.

Again, I'm not in-the-know, but I'd say rather than us getting a favourable deal, it probably makes sense for the centre to have something in the location as it's not your traditional SC unit. Instead it's in a area with a collection of open units that are partitioned in the centre of the SC. In truth it's a very favourable location in the SC and for people in that area of the city (it doesn't come close to suiting everyone). From that perspective it will certainly have less rent than your typical shop in there, probably a lot less. Less is relative though and this is the LOI where when there's a cost things often becomes unsustainable.

I have seen local sports shops in Cork with our gear in the window too. I'm not sure on what cut we'd get from that tbh, but there must be some benefit.

Are Bohs getting a new home kit? I assumed they would as O'Neill's is their main provider now but it's five weeks until the season starts now so...

Yes, Bohs have a new home kit. Just waiting on clearance for the Johnny Logan picture 😁

I think the circus around our new “away” kit pushed back the release but should be announced in next week or so.

It was a special edition jersey from last year, same home jersey as last year I think.

As I'm speaking to you, didn't Longford bring out a 'new' home Jersey that is identical to last year?

Nope, special edition jersey worn once last season vs Newcastle. Shame really as it’s a cracker, I’d like to see it used as a cup kit at least this season (might have been the plan for last season too in fairness but two away draws with clashing colours made that impossible). Could also be worn in games like Dundalk away given that the sleeves on both the home and away jerseys are both white now which the refs in the league can’t cope with for some reason

Not much you can do with red and black stripes but wouldn't say it's identical no

the new jersey is short sleeves and last year was long sleeves. I thought intially when I saw it in the club shop when I was working in it over xmas that it looked like the 2017 jersey but when I looked at that seasons jersey realised that the collar is a different colour to the one from 2017.

FAO Shearer can see where you are coming from that jersey we had last season was initially the one that was launched in xmas 2015 but then the club went to legea and launched a new jersey instead. two years later we went back to macron and the only difference in the two jerseys is the writing on the sponsors!

    confusing or what?

No mention here today about the launch of the new Bohs home shirt that is a lovely shirt imo.

Prob be ruined a bit when the LoI and UEFA stuff gets added though.

A lot of sponsor logos ruin nice shirts but the Mr Green logo being slanted makes the jerseys look like they moved during printing. Nothing Bohs can do but it never looks right.

Be it Milan, Bohs or Longford, I've always thought a bit of white make the jerseys more appealing. I much prefer Milan's use of white shorts too. I never understood why Bohs/Longford never tried white shorts for a season. Way nicer and would make that club distinctive from the other one.

Actually a well put together shirt, vastly better quality than when we had O’Neills before. FAI etc badges won’t be in those sold ( although some moan about that).
The lack of a iconic picture on the front is a glaring omission 😁

A Bob Marley tatoo on the player forearm would be funny. Should have had a temporary one done to see what would happen lol
