I think so, maybe, hopefully. I might need to see the teamsheet first but I'd make us slight favourites with home advantage and the Welsh absentee list.

I'd be a very poor consultant for MON if I was calling for his sacking not too long ago.
Perhaps someone (Thomas Delaney) who was on the pitch last Saturday knows a little bit more than either of us.
Delaney labelled the Irish style of play as 'primitive'.
I guess we'll have to agree to disagree at this point.

It is primitive, but that’s more down to the instructions (or lack there of) from the management rather than the players. End of the day like I said the players would be professional if they couldn’t at least do the basics.

If Hendrick is moved back into midfield, and it's Robinson behind O'Brien, that's a far more mobile looking front line.

The welsh players look like they are waiting in trepidation for the spaceship to land and scoop them away to safety.

Watching via RTE updates. Seems like we're doing alright....

Best bit of play we have managed in a year.

Definitely a bit better. Not giving up too many chances or as much possession and creating one or two attacking moments.

Very poor match. Turning into another snoozefest. If Robinson wasn't on the pitch then we would have nothing to offer.

    Not too bad.

Hendrick a key player for us. He is always trying to play football.

Just need a goal now. Looked defensively solid again. Maybe a set piece goal can win it.

Christie in midfield. I just can't see it. He isn't showing for it at all. Can't wait to get rid of it when given it.

    Hiding.

He is not doing too bad for a lad that has not played midfield since he was 14 .

It would be good if Fulham gave him a few games there bit I don’t suppose they are too worried about Ireland ( why should they ? )

Against this young Welsh team the last thing we needed to do was give them an even break and of course thats exactly what we did
