Development work begins on Shed End in 2 weeks

Pal of mine works with the Corporation planning Dept and he told me that everything is signed up and sealed.

The FAI have recieved the grant money owed to them by the Government and as a result City can now fund the long awaited re development of the Shed..

Apparently Lennox was very keen to get this under way for the UEFA Cup games in the summer in order to provide extra revenue (The Shed will be closed for UEFA Cup games).

The development will be in 3 stages.

    1. Main structure and seats - complete July '05
    2. Offices and meeting rooms - complete September '05
    3. Roof and completion of hospitality boxes - Complete Feb '06

Good news all around but just a pity the stand won't have a roof - could have an impact on the atmosphere IMO.

    good effort but...

I was talking to my mam there and she was saying that they're talking about moving the Beara Peninsula to Kerry.
    It was on 103FM

Sorry about that anti dub just thought it would be a bit of a laugh.

Scary post on the Waterford website. A guy posted an April Fools gag on their forum .......... on Thursday March 31st.........could only happen down there.

No wonder their county is in the state it's in.
