Just looking at the ratings for a couple of weeks ago on Irish TV.

Do people just leave RTE1 on all day or is that they don't have RTE2. 18 programs on RTE1 had higher viewing figures than the highest on RTE2 which was the Wales v Ireland match. I mean how could Winning Streak, No Frontiers, House Hunters, Off the Rails, ER, etc. have thousands more viewers than any other program on RTE 2 last week?
I thought the fact the Ireland match was on BBC would have played a part but 522,000 people watch Eastenders.
On a side note, only 7,000 Irish people watch The OC. I think thats a great show.

I'd say a lot of ppl went to the pub for the Wales match.. And there is a load of Grannies all over the country who never miss winning Streak or Pat Kenny

Its prob the other way around then more ppl in Ireland watch it on TG4
