Terry Phelan Joins Battery. Veteran Republic of Ireland defender Terry Phelan has signed with the Charleston Battery for the upcoming 2002 season.
Phelan has 42 caps for the Republic of Ireland, he played 143 matches in the English Premiership and won a FA Cup with Wimbledon in 1988.
