Glen Celtic v Bohemians, Glen Pk, V.Coonan,

This one has all the makings of a good cup tie this weekend and will be interesting to see how it goes.

The Glen are back in Division 1 this year and have started very strong and with all the hitters back they will fancy their chances here.

They will be up against a very good side in bohs though who are newly promoted to the premier this year.

    Should be a cracker.

Two big shocks already!!! Glentorn A and and Carrigtowhill crashing out in the First round.

Two 8-0 wins on the bounce for Pearse. Very impressive!! looks like they have their house in order this year and could very well be the team to beat.

Glen 2-2 Bohs, Bohs won on penalties

Very good game exactly what you want from a tough cup game. Some very good football was played. Ref made a couple of mistakes but Bohs did have 2 men rightly sent off, 1 at the end off second half of normal time for a second yellow and the other for reckless tackle at end of extra time.

Bohs were very solid defensively held a firm ground. Glen Celtic definitely had a lot more of the ball but just didn't finish enough chances for their sake.

have to say Bohs were well organised & after the hour mark was one way traffic & the ref was very poor .. savage game.. had everything red cards, penalties.. superb game of football
the standout of the game had to be the refereeing performance.. is it me or has the standard of refs just totally gone out the window?

Totally agree with you on both. Bohs were solid out even when the lost 2 men.

Ref was very poor, for both sides as well made a lot of mistakes and it was like he was trying not to let the game flow. There's the odd few good referees around but hard to come by these days

Will be very difficult to see any of the first division teams coping with glen Celtic they are a super side as are Bohs ... in fairness they both put on a super display every player on that pitch had quality it was a total shame the referee was so poor. Surely something needs to be done in terms of getting referees up to standard .. I seen this guy calling offsides and fouls against both sides that were laughable. But in terms of the games both sides are a credit and shows how strong the northside clubs are in the aul
    top class aoh tie !

Sorry didn't get a chance to reply I was away in Poland on me hols !! Seems your dad Bulldog cant work his magic that much anymore . Bohs are an average side . A few years ago they wouldn't have even got a sniff of Premier. With the quality of players your dad signed for Glen Celtic ye should definitely be beating Bohs
