Carew park really struggling I hope they can turn it around, they were always competing at the top. Hats off to the lads that are keeping the club going.

I realise you can't just invite every decent club from Clare, but it's surely in Newmarket Celtic's best interest to move to Limerick?
That Clare League is a bit of a joke, they're running away with it already. They won their seventh Clare Cup in a row last season ffs.
Obviously it's their own decision as they also have the benefit of easier paths out of town in the Munster Junior and the FAI.
    Thoughts?

Why not sure then Pike and Boro can pick off their best players and they will end up like Nenagh.

If Nenagh had kicked on from their first season in premier then they wouldn’t have this problem so it’s of their own making. Different breed in Clare by and large, a lot more loyalty.

Blueboy is correct,Nenagh came in in a blaze of glory ,3 junior teams and had a decent enough first season.......regular defeats ,something they wouldnt have been used to in North Tipp, and the whole vibe changes ,now left with 1 junior team and they are struggling with many of their best players gone.Only way that changes is winning trophies and no matter who you are thats difficult in Limerick given the power of the more successful clubs...and they will attract the best players. The likes of Newmarket have a ready made journey out of their area in the big cups, thats not the case in limerick.

A lot more loyalty alright. Im sure McGann and Mulready and a few of them other Clare lads are very loyal to Clare.

Sherrif had a big win themselves tonight. Massive defeat for Charleville but the managers of both teams and more importantly the referee should be ashamed of themselves. At what stage did it seem like a good idea to play on? 8-0? 11-0? 14-0?

Game in Munster needs to be reorganised. Some clubs in Limerick should clearly be playing at intermediate level. Same with the likes of St Michael’s, Clonmel Town, Carrick United, Killarney Celtic etc. Time for an MSL North and South league with the winners of each playing off to be crowned Munster Senior League champions. This kind of structure did exist in years gone by. Every week there are ridiculous score lines coming out of Limerick. It's got to the stage where teams don't want to be promoted to the Premier in Limerick as they would prefer to stay in 1A.

It won’t happen because the clubs with all the resources here in the city are full of players and managers who couldn’t make it at a higher level and now think they are fantastic because they are hammering teams on completely different playing field.......and the funny thing is the standard in town has never been worse

Couldn't agree more, was saying the same myself to friends recently, a north Munster league, the bigger clubs and towns in it and let them fight it out, with the local leagues becoming competitive again underneath it.

The referee isn't entitled to call off the match unless both managers agree
