Harry Charsley got the only goal for Everton U23s against Jason Knight's Derby. https://www.premierleague.com/player...rsley/overview Good to see but, at the age of 22, he really needs to start seeing first-team action soon.

Bit of action tonight in the U23s tonight:

Ryan Cassidy got his sixth of the season as Watford U23s lost 2-1 to Bristol City: https://www.watfordfc.com/teams/unde...ty-2-1-watford

Yassin En-Neyah scored again for Forest as they beat Crewe 3-0 - Liam Bossin get the clean sheet: https://www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/n...est-3-0-crewe/

Jack Clarke was credited with an assist as Villa lost to Stoke 3-2 in a game which featured two Irish 17-year-olds - Tyreik Wright and Nathan Collins: https://www.premierleague.com/match/...-v-aston-villa

Collins and Wright are 2 interesting ones. You can see how Collins stepped up to that level already. He's a big guy, as well as being a brilliant defender. Young Wright is much less physical so it's great to see him getting a chance at that level. Loved watching him for the under 17 side. Very skillful player but plays with a smile on his face. The Dutch roughed him up a bit and he didn't shy away from them which was great to see. If he can develop physically he could be very good. Big hopes for Collins.

Pretty sure he was just on trial there.

As of last week, Leicester were just considering a contract offer: https://www.independent.ie/sport/soc...-37615049.html

Troy Parrott posted a photo of his squad number on Snapchat, but missed out today. Could be included against Cardiff on new year's day?

Surely he'll get some game time in the FA cup this weekend.

Away to Bournemouth. If it were lower league opposition one would be more confident he'd get a run. It all depends on how much Hughton cares for the competition.

Looks like Hughton is targeting a run in the cup. Near full strength team with no room for Connolly on the bench. Disappointing.

I wouldn't so much mind that but he managed to bring on 20 year old Viktor Gyokeres who has far less goals for the under 23 side than Connolly has.

Ogbene on bench for Brentford the Exeter loan didn't seem to be an outstanding success.

    Travers on bench for Bournemouth.

Lovren has gone off injured and a 16 year-old by the name of Ki-Jana Hoever has come in. Fair to assume Masterson has a loan lined up so?

Interesting. It was reported within the last week he looked to be signing for Shamrock Rovers.

*Cough* I noted it in the 2019 transfer thread. When I saw him in the FC Dordrecht squad, I couldn't find anything in a news search. A Twitter search showed he had scored a couple of hours previously for Cardiff 23s. It could well be a trial though?
