A little, it's that the age of a young player breaking through to the first team has raised slightly with the introduction of the new U23 league

He could be a shoo-in for the under 21 squad given that Kenny referred to his lack of options up front, as well as injuries to a few lads his age.
The under 19s have their elite qualifiers the week before the U21 game, so him, Idah, Cassidy and Parrott will be split between the two squads.
Southampton playing Villareal tonight in the PL International Cup, and streaming it on their YouTube channel at 7: https://www.youtube.com/user/theofficialsaints
Few Irish lads in the team, see below, but not Afolabi
Keogh on the bench only turned 17 a week ago, so being involved at this level is impressive
Why not Afolabi? Spurs at home Saturday?
Nice to see Anthony Scully back for west ham 23s tonight he seems to have missed most of season with injury. Tormey is playing for arsenal 23s again tonight who seems to have been injured for 2 yrs wonder if he will show up on our 19s?
Zak Delaney our under 17 and louie Barry our(?) Under 16 on bench tonight for west brom 23s fone achievement

2 tonight for idah that's 13 in 20 under 23 games this season for a side that has generally struggled. Pity Norwich are going so well
That's great stuff - he's really starting to motor now and has only just turned 18 today - he's younger than any of the other top scorers in his division.
Elsewhere, 17-year-old Tyriek Wright really seems to have settled into the Villa U23 side, being credited with two assists against Newcastle
I said on the Gibraltar thread that I thought Parrott might be a bit slight for senior football yet (compared with say, Obafemi); Idah physically looks like he could handle himself physically already.
Here they come! It’s the charge of the “Thanks” Brigade!
Not much happening tonight - Josh Barrett scored a free-kick as Reading lost to Newcastle in the Premier League Cup: https://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/201...newcastle-u23/

Credited with an assist on Norwich's goal in tonight's game against Southampton. The Saints scored four with Thomas O'Connor and Will Smallbone on the scoresheet - https://www.premierleague.com/match/...pton-v-norwich
Yassin En-Neyah scored Forest's second against Burnley: https://www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/n...3s-vs-burnley/
Southampton were beaten 3-1 by Dinamo Zagreb in the semi final of the Premier League International Cup last night, after playing the majority of the game a player down. O'Driscoll, O'Connor(who captained the side), Smallbone and Ferry all started and Ledwidge came off the bench.
Southampton's goal came from a cross by Smallbone. They streamed the game on their YouTube channel. The goal is on 29:30
Must have been getting some abuse on that forum.
RTE had to issue an apology to him a few weeks ago, wonder if that's related?
https://www.rte.ie/amp/1034738/
The article that the apology is referring to had the following sentence in it randomly. I took a screenshot of it at the time but not sure how to post it. It seemed like just a bad attempt at humour by someone at rte.
The Cavan born youngster has been having sex with young men and women.
A goal for parrott at 23s tonight
