That is some smattering of talent across some really good clubs to be at. Fingers crossed for the year ahead. Thanks Liam.
That would be awesome. A couple of young talents who had been worryingly absent recently showed up in today's 2-2 draw between Barnsley and QPR U23s. Olamide Shodipo, who hadn't featured in pre-season following his return from a loan spell at Colchester where he only got two starts and four sub appearances, was in the QPR line-up. Meanwhile Gerry McDonagh, who was released by Forest last season, featured for Barnsley, having signed for them on Wednesday: https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/20...3s-qpr-report/ https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/20...cdonagh-signs/
Harry Charsley on the scoresheet for Everton U23s against Chelsea: https://us.soccerway.com/matches/201...D=HP_MS_105_01 - got to feel that this is a make or break year for him... really needs to get first-team experience
Aidan Keena on the scoresheet for Hearts U20s in the Scottish Challenge Cup, as they lost 2-1 to ROss County: https://spfl.co.uk/league/challenge-cup/results/994551
Ryan Cassidy with an assist in Watford's U23 loss to Birmingham at the weekend. Just out of interest, Timi Sobawale played U16 for us, but seems to have now declared for Nigeria, Is that correct? Also, is Elvis Ezeh any good and is he committed to us, considering he only lived in Ireland for 5 years? Any information would be greatly appreciated!
Where did you hear that re Sobowale? He has a Nigerian flag after his name on his Twitter account I have noted. He was born in Ireland and has been in Ireland and has been here since so that would be a right pity.
Interesting to see Victor Moses retire from international football with Nigeria at 27. He grew up in England and played underage for England before declaring for Nigeria too.
When I looked him up, he was described as a Nigerian player and with his use of the Nigerian flag on his twitter account I thought I would ask the question. I hope I'm wrong!

mallon scored for sheffield utd 23s today who had doherty captaining them against watford for whom cassidy played for
Watched most of the game. Spurs had a player sent off early on so it meant Kelleher and Parrott had reasonably quiet games. In saying that, Kelleger made one good save and Parrot is physically ready for this level. While he was starved of possession, he harried well and showed good vision. Maybe I am biased, but there is something about him which suggests to me, he will take this level by storm. ! Corey Whelan was a solid player who does what he had to do without setting the world on fire. McAuley was lIvely and worked hard and created Liverpool's penalty. He also missed a reasonably easy chance. A good performance overall. Masterson did not come on.
Wild one today between West Ham and Man City U23s with four goals in four injury-time minutes as Man City ran out 6-4 winners. A little disappointed that Josh Cullen was sent back down to this level but he did manage to get himself onto the scoresheet. Conor Coventry played for an hour while Tyreke Wilson was an unused sub: https://int.soccerway.com/players/josh-cullen/399878/
Two for Simon Power so far in Norwich's game against Reading, and he's drawn a red card too. 10 to go in that one.
Great to see him adapt so quickly to Norwich. 20 years old; signed from UCD at the start of the year.
Actually, Twitter is giving the second to Idah, with an assist from Power. But looks like he's putting in a man-of-the-match performance anyway; he has a couple of other mentions too
And the goalscoring by Irish U23s didn't stop there:
Michael Obafemi and Thomas O'Connor both found the net for Southampton against a Stoke side that featured 17-year -old Nathan Collins. Aaron O'Driscoll was an unused sub: https://int.soccerway.com/matches/20...?ICID=PL_MS_09
Kian Flanagan scored for Crystal Palace against Crewe: https://www.cpfc.co.uk/news/2018/aug...-on-20-aug-18/
After coming on as a second-half sub, Aaron Connolly grabbed an injury-time equaliser for Brighton against Arsenal: https://int.soccerway.com/matches/20...?ICID=PL_MS_03
Yassine En-Neyah scored for Forest in a 3-3 draw with QPR. Shodipo started but limped off after 12 minutes: https://www.qpr.co.uk/fixtures/under...m-forest-u23s/
