    Flynny Still Out

After missing Friday night’s Premier Division meeting with Bray Wanderers, John O’Flynn is also likely to be ruled out of the Rebels’ Setanta Cup opener against Shelbourne on Easter Monday, manager Damien Richardson has revealed.

"Brittle Bones".............he needs to drink more milk

Read that one of the main reasons for Flynny not making it in England was the fact that he was so injury prone. The English Clubs don't hang around and have a much bigger pool of players - hence his return to Cork.

I reckon we got "lucky" with him in his first year - full season without an injury. Since then he has been out of the team more often than in.

Fantastic player, but how much does it disrupt (or de-motivate) the team when it is announced that he is "out" for the next game etc.

I know, having played sport all my life, that young players in particular, are very impressionable and can let their heads drop when their STAR misses a game.

    Just a thought!

He probably would, but he said that if Dolan left, he was going too, so there was no point in him staying if he didn't want to.

    .....................devine.......................
    hoggy.......benno......murray.....murphy
    woodsie....georgie.....gamble....kearney
    ................doyler.....behan...............

behan stays in for strength (and a fairly good performance on fri), murray stays in cos derek still aint fully fit.

yeah, I'd go along with your team and your reasons for picking it. Close call between Behan and Fenn though

id go with fenn, he is just the foil for doyler and he has been impressive when played in recent weeks,

could be just the guy to unlock shels defence, honker hawkins wud have a field day in the air against behan but wudnt be as quick wit the ball on the floor against fenners!!!

also, hoggie had a shakey performance against bray in my opinion, wud greg be more suited for shels aggresive players!! we need to put the boot in tonite to those c!!ts

I think Setanta have rated tonight's game "Over 18's".......!

It ain't gonna be pretty, and I think the team that stands up strongest will prevail tonight.

Too often we have capitulated to the Dublin thugs.

    Time for change tonight.

Enough of the TV jitters. Time to stand up like men against these mercenaries.

If we can get amongst them like that charming Collins chap from Portadown we'll do the business.........if not then it's gonna be another frustrating night!

I feel a draw coming up!!

But I think we may be able to win it. Same 11 now for the 3rd game in a row and we seem to be getting better each time. Still a long way off last years best but its coming along.

You dont seem to have played too well against Bray so there might be a few question marks in the players heads.

Another thing is about your tough talk etc etc When shels were about to play you last year there was many a player coming out with fighting talk and how you would put it up us and were not playing in the champions league now and bla bla bla but when it came to it you hardly put in a tackle.

    60% Draw
    25% Shels Win
    15% Cork Win

No I already posted about that...

    Im not at home
    Im in england
and not only that but Im working on the Bank Holiday too...

You should open a forum so shels fans can gave give valid excuses why they cant attend matches Just so you all know as you seem very interested in the whole shels support thing.

    When will it stop?

Can you give me an average attendance when the slagging of the shels support will stop? or is it a never ending figure.

Tonight I counted about 54 bodies in the Shels section of the Derrynane stand. I think that says it all really.

On Denis Behan's current form, Flynnie will have a job re-claiming his place, methinks.
