not hard to do it would seemYou lost me now
Its vital that we beat Israel!!! We really need to crack them in two. Hopefully everyone will be fully fit and ready to go
We won't have Roy Keane playing in the Israeli return leg but I think we will destroy them. Don't ge tme wrong, they have played very well thus far but keep in mind they play on that training pitch in Tel Aviv where it is impossible to pass to knock on a through ball. The wide open spaces at Landsdowne will suffice and I wouldn't be surprised to see Robbie Keane score a hat trick.
I was just about to post that I agreed with you that Israel are a very good team as so many people were dismissing them and then you go and post that.Originally Posted by FarBeag
Switzerland did well in the European champioships considering the circumstances and performance wise they matched everyone they played.
BTW - This week couldn't have turned out any better. Before Saturday, even if we won in Tel Aviv we could have been 3 points behind the French. We drew and are now only 1 point behind.
I cheered tonight after the Israel goal just as much as I did after Clinton's goal on Saturday. We actually could learn a lot from Israel. They broke down the French defence a load of times with through balls and crosses.
well , as an israeli fan i have to tell u
we should have won the game , we could have scored(and deserved it also) at least one more goal.
but we didn't
i guess it's the end of the story for us unless we'll draw in dublin and win in basle and considiring we havn't won any major team in this group i'm very skeptical about it.
israel can play very good but only for a few parts in the game , and she doesn't have the stability and experience to top from the current position.
i hope that i'm worng in everything i've just said , but only time could say.
we'll meet again in june 4 , hope we come as a big israeli expedition and party with u as u did with us in t.a.
good night everyone.
Eireboy...You are joking are'nt you about the Swiss at Euro 2004????They were sihte for goodness sake. Ingerland hammered them 3-0, France 3-1 and Croatia were unlucky to draw 0-0 with them.We would have done much better than that.Maybe I am being very thick here but what did you mean when you wrote 'considering the circumstances and performance wise they matched everyone they played.' They sure as hell did not match any of these guys.![]()
The Croatia-Swiss match was terrible and nobody deserved to win. The Swiss were much better than England for 60 minutes until Haas got sent off. Even though Haas was sent off they still had more a lot possession than the English. They rested a few players against France and matched them for 75 minutes. Maybe they didn't match the French performance wise (the only game I didn't see) but they did against the other two. OK, their results look terrible but they were far from as bad as people were making out. You mentioned the word "performed". They didn't perform badly, they were just stuck in a bad group. I'm not saying they're world beaters, they just got way too much unfair critisism.Originally Posted by FarBeag

yes.`Originally Posted by the_bonk
