don't see anything on livescore or soccernet
Yes, it's a totally different team than the one we saw on saturday. on the other hand, on saturday the ability had a lot to do with the shock 3rd min goal.
On the other hand, France continues their ability from saturday too (meaning, good offensive moves, but unable to score, yet, at least).

Scrap that. The goal disappeared off Livescore. Swiss are 0-0 apparently!
Well, I thought that a Swiss tonight was pretty much a given unless something very surprising happens, no?Originally Posted by Poor Student
Oh, and LOL, just saw the correction, I'm still betting on a Swiss win though.
ETA: So far, touchwood, the Israel changes in the defence line up work quite well, especially considering it's by far our weakest point.
France had two very dangerous opportunities right now, but the Israeli defence cleared it. Free kick for France now...

The Cypriots are one of the better 'weak' teams well capable of a minor upset like a draw if the Swiss aren't on their game.
You don't have to tell me about it... somehow we are always drawn to the same group with them, and only in this campaign we managed to break the Cypriot jinx.Originally Posted by Poor Student
anyone got an update on the french game, how does it look?
Both sides attack a lot, very energetic game, both teams had quite a few opportunities. Israel is spending quite a long time around the Barthez. France attacking now, and losing the ball to Nimni... still 0-0, but what a difference 4 days make. It's not the Israeli team we saw on saturday.Originally Posted by vega007
a HUGE miss from France now... Trezeguet testing the Israeli defence and manages to pass 3 players before slightly missing his target.

thanks
the brits aren't looking too good
HT Switzerland 0 - 0 Cyprus
40' Israel 0 - 0 France
NP.
Barthez isn't very popular tonight... the Israeli crowd sings all the time, apart from when Barthez touches it and then they all boo.
Was too lazy to go to the stadium today.. starts too late, I hate the French team, don't particuarly like our team too much apart from pure patriotism and I start working early tomorrow, but it seems like a bit of fun being there. Very noisy
ETA: HUGE safe from the Israeli goalie... that was close.
38'... The French are getting into the game, they've had quite a few good chances in the last couple of mins.

Click and you're watching.
It'd be some auld buzz if there were two 0-0 draws tonight![]()
Aint gonna happen mind you - but no harm in dreaming![]()
LOL now you can all join our drinking game - drink whenever the crowd is booing (=every time Barthez touches the ball). At least someone can keep me company, I'm all sick so didn't go out to watch the game with people, and my brother who usually watches games with me started his 3-year military service today...Originally Posted by boysingreen

Yes, women have to do it too, it's 2 years for women, I did 2.5 years.
Can you get off with civil duty? Fair play to Israel. I saw them playing Slovenia in Turkey on TV in Slovenia and they looked fairly poor. Seems they have imrpoved on last campaign.Originally Posted by Shae_B2D
Women who declare themselves as religious get to do civil duty. most of us do the usual military service. My sister will be finishing her in a month.Originally Posted by Poor Student
Well, there has been a slight but consistent improvement in the last few years, but the Israeli team has this problem of waking on the wrong side, and then nothing can help them, or the right side, and then nothing can help the opponents (ask France why they didn't play in the 1994 world cup).
