Did the chap on Eir seriously just refer to Cummins' play in the lead up to Cork's equaliser "Bergkamp-esque"? That might be the most absurd bit of football punditry I've ever heard.

Massive win for us tonight.
Drogheda drop more points. UCD confirmed in the play-offs now, and need 5 points from the last 4 games to win the league.
Just the time for a first-round Cup tie...
We controlled that game for 70 minutes and then invited non stop pressure for the rest. We got away with it tonight. I would be surprised if that worked against Rosenborg. Still back on top for the next two weeks I think until Dundalk play another league game
Harps up to second and a 6th clean sheet in a row
hope so, no harm to Limerick. It seems that teams coming up from the first with a head of steam find it hard to keep that going and interest and then the team drops. UCD will probably spend more time in the premier in the next 10 year's than the other current FD teams and the relegated teams from this year combined because they trump player development over success. Not every body has the luxury of that model.
Massive result for Bohs alright, embarrassing result for us,lets be clear though it aint Tommys fault......its never Tommys fault and all we need to hear now the reassurance from our local radio soccer jock media that the ..lads.. are giving Tommy everything they have.etc etc.......spare me please.
Shocking performance in Dalymount from Limerick. For the first 15 minutes or so they dominated, made a few chances, but then it fell apart. In the second Bohs never looked remotely in danger. After the third they gave up. Only FitzGerald played in any well consistently. Barry Maguire lumbering around after a half hour is really indicative of how shallow the squad depth is (for that shirt pull on the breakaway, he could have kept going; he gave up on the ball at the slightest tug), and the forward players were just at sea. When it goes wrong with Limerick, it goes really wrong.
The Sligo game is a must-win if we have any pretensions of avoiding a play-off, but they'll have to start well and score first, otherwise it'll be another disaster. At least it's looking unlikely Bray will threaten our 11th place.

Really enjoyable game in Finn Park tonight. Could, and probably should, have been much more than 3-0, but will certainly settle for that. As said already, a sixth clean sheet in a row, but that has resulted in a new club record made tonight for Ciaran Gallagher. Made one or two decent saves tonight too from long range.
On a side note, ended up giving a lift home to Milwall Ladies team Performance Analyst who made the effort to go and see the game while on holiday in Donegal. His mother is from Donegal and has been to a couple of Harps games in the past and tries to make sure he gets at least one game in each time he visits Donegal. Really went out of his way to get to the game too. Fairly refreshing to see when about half the population of this country would pull the curtains if a League of Ireland side were playing in their back garden.

Truly brutal from Limerick in Dalymount, could have been 8 or 9.
Very good match between Cork and Waterford. Good times on Suir side despite 1 win in 5 games. A full house (nearly) and they've played some good stuff this season. Just huffed and puffed a bit against a park the bus Cork side (last 20-30 mins mainly, it must be said). That camping on the edge of the box, kicking everything away may not work well in Trondheim but that's for another forum. They did what they had to do. Decent entertainment.
