i agree the english over rate themselves way too much.An e.g of this is beckham and how great they think he is, but realy keane is 10 times better but they rate him worse than beckham.

In fairness Keane and Beckham are obviously two different types of players, principal differences being Keane actually tries, and Beckham actually doesn't have to.
However, watch how many of Keane's passes are backwards, and of the forward ones, how many go to an opposing player. When Roy Keane's engine runs out, what will he be left with. Maybe the sound of him roaring at his team mates will keep him going for a while longer.
    ONE CITY, ONE TEAM.

everyone knows the english have a little too much national prde (and i'm trying to be diplomatic here!) but, so what! Wouldn't it be great if Irish people were a little more like that (not AS bad obviously)? Everytime a new Irish face appears in sport or whatever else, you always get people looking for them to fail. We could do with having a lot more pride in ourselves!

a conversation i overheard at the bar in the irish pub where i work yesterday:
"well any country that starts 2 wars and loses both has to have something wrong with it"

unsurprisingly all 3 people involved in the chat were english, all of them have lived here for over 4 years!
So yeah, I take your point!
