[QUOTE=pineapple stu;1974664]Sounds a bit underwhelming all the same, even if it's the LoI's first ever win in the competition.

    /QUOTE]
The eupohoria from that win last night must have lowered your irony filter?

No, I got the reference alright.

Twas just a general observation. I thought ye'd do better than 1-0. Like I thought Bray would do better than 0-2 last year.

Sligo through too; 4-1 winners v Livi u21s despite going a goal down in the first minute

In fairness to Bohs, they put out a largely reserve side against Peterhead. Nice to see both LOI teams get through and dust off last years shame. Either side could win the competition if they were bothered.

Last 16 draw tomorrow. I see non-Scottish clubs were not necessarily kept apart in this round last season

Should be a good occasion in Dalymount, with a decent number over from Surrey, ( they brought 100 fans up to Airdrionians) . The team looked fairly effective from the highlights of that game.

I bet Sutton are delighted, not too many of their fans would've expected to see them play 'overseas', even if it is just Dublin.

That is a great draw for Bohemians, the home draw should compensate for the slightly higher level/standard of their opponents. As mentioned above, a good away crowd should add to the atmosphere. Lets hope the Bohs fans turn up in their numbers. This could be the fixture that could raise the profile of this competition among the Dublin soccer public.
Difficult one for Sligo, but with their great away form this year, they have a chance.

why are Sutton in it I always thought it was the other home nations besides England?
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

Conference teams were invited from this year.

Sligo have Motherwell U-21s, not Motherwell. The U-21s sides are notoriously crap - look at Celtic losing 4-0 to Arbroath or Annan or someone. Sligo should win handy enough.

I'm not convinced that a visit to Dublin by the mighty Sutton United will set many pulses racing outside of LOI circles.

Tricky draw for Coleraine, away to Connah's Quay.

I think Sutton are a full-time squad, so I wouldn't view this as an easy draw if I was Bohs.

My inner cynic is twitching at the fact that, of the 5 non-Scottish clubs left in the competition, the maximum number (i.e. 4 of them) were drawn together.

I do be watching the non league show on bt sport and they showed the sutton utd game in the irn bru cup last night so i would safely hazard a guess that the sutton utd bohs game highlights will be on their show!

Sligo beaten 2-0 by Motherwell under-20s.

Bohs beat Sutton United 4-3 on penalties after a 0-0 game
