    Footie Jerseys

As a collector of football jerseys since i was a nipper I'm curious to see does anybody else indulge in this expensive hobby? I've been trying to cut down but its a hard addiction to kick and now have something in the range of 200-250.

If so, what jersey has stood the test of time for you as your favourite, and what are people's most unusual ones?

    favorite jerseys are
my 1994 Rovers purple lightning Hoops away shirt.
Boca Juniors 1999 home jersey, couldnt buy it in ireland,so its very rare,as well as being a quality design and colors as well as the..
1999 Boca 3rd jersey, navy with yellow and white pin stripe hoops, nice shirt and very rare.but a v neck collar takes the look off it.
also like my 1992 celtic home shirt,no sponsor on it.
ive the 1992 Barcelona home shirt by kappa.nice.
    1998 penarol home top
    amongst others

    Couple stand out for me

my 1989 Scotland umbro away shirt - white shirt with yellow and navy thin horizontal strips - worn against Costa Rica i think in the WC '90

1992 Adidas Arsenal Away shirt - the yellow & navy 'bruised banana' look with the little barclays patches on them, still comes out these days - classic

1992 - Barca 'kappa' home shirt - pure class and long before kappa was a skanger accessory or kit makers of the Spuds!

1989 ish - Derby County umbro away shirt - blue shirt with small blue squares of varying shades and a funky button collar - gorgous!

    'Tangerine' surely?

Love the Ireland 1990 WC kit, the away one, White with green shorts. Never bought it, couldn't get it in England at the time (not in Manchester anyhow) so had to make do with the home Green one.

The most rare one I have is an Olimpija Ljubljana jersey from the year before they played Shels and Liverpool with Prosinecki (amazing player) on the back. It is excellent quality as the club sells the real jersies the players wear and not just replicas.

You gotta do what Randall Pink Floyd wants to do man. Let me tell you this, the older you do get the more rules they're gonna try to get you to follow. You just gotta keep livin' man, L-I-V-I-N.

I had a few, but they're all gone now...

The best I ever had was the Coventry City chocolate brown shirt with the big Talbot T in the middle of it!

I had an old Benfica red shirt as well, which was quality. A few others as well but, like I said, they're long gone...

Pride of place for me has to be the last USSR jersey from Italia 90 and also the last ever jersey from the old Yugoslavia team that played in that World Cup aswell. I've already got a few quotes on what they'd be worth and given another few years they'll pay for a decent holiday!

    How much??
I've got the last Yugoslavia shirt myself from back then, and the Euro 88 Soviet shirt and the C.I.S shirt (although the last shirt was a joke)

I am very proud of my FC Porto jersey- the jersey in which Jose Mourinho's troops lifted last year's European Cup. I purchased it in Barcelona of all places!

However I am not one to get a name printed on the back of a jersey.
