What exactly would you call a fair punishment for this crime then? All this talk of points deduction was daft, it was never going to happen (To any team) and would have been an absolutley stupid one.

a lengthy ban and a proper fine that he'd actually notice.

He should have gotten more matches, yes, but the fine thing wasn't going to happen, this isn't the premiership where people can easily do without a months worth of wages without noticing.

Ludicrous that he not get his ban extended to say 3 games.

The FAI had nothing to do with this - all the work of the eL itself.

Whats the story on this one ..... if this rule is breached by another club, the league will have to enforce the exact same penalty right ?? I mean they have thrown down the marker now, they cant really be seen to go over it now.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Eamon Collins was seen up in the tv gantry on a mobile to Pat Fenlon during the match, Eoin Hand started talking about it then realised he might be getting him in trouble so shut up! In light of the whole Chelsea nonsense with the fella wearing the hat, is that allowed? Has Collins broken the rules again?
    Oh no not them again

Perfectly legal to be in touch with the bench in the EL as far as I know. When Aaron Callaghan our assistant was supended one time he stood at the wall over the far side with a walkie talkie, nothing was said to him then, you just have to be 50 metres away from the technical area.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

Seems that might be why he has to stay 50 metres away from the playing surface i.e. outside the ground. Pathetic that the eL basically acknowledge he was breaking the rules again by changing ban terms but don't say anything publically.

    Perfectly legal

Be outraged anyway, it's not like you need a basis for it.

If it's legal, then fair enough. But it shouldn't be. Lets face it- the ban is utterly pointless if it can be circumvented like this. Not Collins/Shels fault, I'd do the same in the circumstances, but rule needs to be looked at if this is the case
