Go on the bray!!
Im just home from the city game good crowd ,city should of been awarded a penalty
Go on the bray!!
First half City played some good football, though it was going to b two or three nil. Second half absolute rubbish. I was in St. Anne's end, so I didn't see the penalty incident.
Good first half hour, second half poor. Joe Gamble outstanding Around 6000 at the game.

He played well. I think Kearney was our best by a long way though. Murray was pathetic, give Coughlan a run!Originally Posted by kevincronin2000

Give us a break. You guys drew with BRAY, gotta take it. I knew this would be the main talking point. Remember we were the underdogs and we dservedly got a point against a very very talented cork side.

ratings time
devine 7 not much to do
hoggy 7 reliable as ever
dan murray 6 solid enough, couple of mistakes though
benno 6 see above
danny murphy 6 didnt do much wrong..
kearney 8 our best player on the night
gamble 7 good first half, faded in the second when we needed him to grab the game by the scruff of the neck
billy 7 again good first half, tired in the second
george 7 impressed me in the first half, didnt think he turned up for the second
denis 7 impressive i thought, another few games and he'll be a class act i reckon
fenny 6 a lot of huffing and puffing, no killer instinct though
Whatever it was I am sure it was better than my plan to get out of this by pretending to be mad. I mean, who would have noticed another madman around here?
Fair play to you, @ least your being honest. I believe we deserved a draw to..... What support you guys have by the way. 7000 was amazing, but only the shed sing which is dissapointing on your behalf and at that they were poor last night imo... Sorry guysOriginally Posted by ccfcgirl

yea you're right.the shed was like a morgue compared to its usual noisy self.
2nd half was very disappointing.we had no penetration at all.should have had more than one goal in the first half.draw was a fair result in the end.
It was totally bad form form those who booed at the final whistle.absoloutley no excuse for it.it was a terrible 2nd half performance but that was still no reason for it.its only the 2nd game of the season!!
btw tarzan 1 that bray kit was class, pity about the team![]()

Life isn't all beer and football...some of us haven't touched a football in months
Devine 7 Did nothing wrong, and did what he had to do well.
Hoggy 7 Mr Consistency.
Murray 2 Brutal. Spent most of the game ball-watching or trying to chase the ball after he messed up. Note to Dan- captains are meant to motivate the team, not stand there looking.
Benno 6 Not one of his better games, made a few mistakes, but recovered well.
Murphy 6 Did nothing wrong, and was good going forward.
Kearney 8 very good again. Why was he taken off![]()
Gamble 7 Excellent in the first half, but someone should tell him he's allowed shoot!!!
George 6 Poor by his standards. good first half, but faded badly second half.
Woods 6 Did ok, couple of decent runs and crosses in the first half.
Behan 6 struggled to compete in the air with Wes Charles- who wouldn't. Bottom line is he scored.
Fenn 6 Worked hard, some nice touches and his "goal" looked fine to me.

Bray may have deserved a draw but even Ramblers would have scored against our defence last night. Every one of the back 4 looked dodgy at some point.
Gamble was excellent in the 1st half but faded badly as did George and Bray took over the midfield in the 2nd half.
Gamble was rightly subbed, give Greg a chance to take some control back in the middle. Fenn found the going too hard but I was surprised to see Kearney come off, he was a threat all night.
That Long boy looks a prospect.

I thought the first half was good, nice to see players linking up well, passing very successful, when Bray had eleven men behind the ball, City sat back and teased them out and went in for another phase. I'm talking about the first obviously
Gamble ... unreal, very good player
Fenn .... brilliant, dinks and ginks, turned some impossible balls with defenders all over him, very well played. Even muscled out a few players which he wouldn't be noted for.
Kearney .... what a nightmare to play against him, he'd wreck your head.
Benno ..... Struggled at stages, early days yet but suprised TBH
Murray .... some clangers last night
Behan .... did very very well up against Wes Charles, the guy is a nightmare, nothing really great about him just makes things difficult, great man for grabbing the jersey etc. ... Denis did well against him
Georgie ... did well, thought that the players around him needed more games really
WHY ARE CTIY NOT TAKING SHOTS FROM OPEN PLAY ??
The subs weren't made early enough to make a difference, Gamble should not have been taken off ??????????
Team were booed at the end and probably rightly so for the second hald performance. In all fairness like .... playing into the shed. Although the shed was like a library last night .... if anything, the fans made it easy for them. Waiting for something to happen
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
Stephen Fox ... sub for Bray being trotted into play, and some says to his mate having heard the "Who are ya, Who are ya ??" from the shed "I've never heard of him before"two of them laughing .... ten minutes (or whatever it was) later, him mate turns around to him "Can you place him now ??" ....... very well taken shot on goal, and all their subs did very well.
