    Smile sat. night fever

    hi all,
have followed rovers since 1968 .love them. great to see a buzz back again. potential here is huge, as we all know. this present side needs time to settle and requires all the support it can get. we have some strong good players here. faz will be the star has yet to settle to rhythm of 1st div football. spoke to g. carr today and he held conversation with faz on sat night. faz was surprised at pace of game and the in your face physical aspect of it. however he enjoyed. will also take a bit of time for alvo to settle but make no mistake when he gets goin he will score
most people only look at centre forward regarding goals but alvo is also a scourge to defenders and stops them from gettin forward with regard to game on sat nite we tried to play football notice the ability of faz to pass ball
from distance and accurate. also central defence looked strong as did midfield. i am a bit dissapointed with state of pitch as ball seems to bobble and does not lend itself to good football. however we are much stronger than last 2 years and will get better. hope to go to tolka and watch us play football on good surface. will post regular and keep positive regarding the best supported team in ireland.

Good to hear from you Red Arrow. Have to agree about the state of our 'field' I mean pitch. Doesn't exactly lend itself to improve the footballing aspects of any footballing side and I do believe that we are blessed with creative players this term. Though the pitch will prove to be our down fall and yes I've said that before. Any way welcome to our happy family.

one of the most pleasing aspects of the match on saturdayy was that every player seemed to give 100 percent . lets hope this continues through out the season!

I totally agree gustavo, it's something Sean Connor has said more than once that his side will not be found lacking when it comes to the trying department.
As long as a players does his best we can't ask for any more, I think that's one thing we Sligo Rovers supporters will always agree on.
