    Sets of Brothers

Can anyone list any set of brothers that have player for League of Ireland Club over they years?

I know of Billy & Darren Dennehy currently with Limerick and the Brennans formely with Drogheda off hand!

How about with your local league club to start with!

Or for that matter sets of brothers who have played football for League of Ireland Clubs in the history of domestic League soccer in Ireland.

It would be nice to create a list!

Two O'Connor brothers formerly Dundalk now both at Harps.

Matt and Gary Crossan formerly Finn Harps

Just off the top of my head.

Daryl Horgan (Dundalk), Colm Horgan and Kevin Horgan (Galway United) faced each other in a game a few seasons ago.

Daryl is now at Preston, Colm is at Cork City and Kevin plays for Shamrock Rovers.

A fourth brother (Christopher) is also captain of Galway United's under 19 team at the moment.

And for UCD, although I'm not sure if they played together

Robbie and John Martin both played for UCD in the late 90s/early 00s, and also later for Longford Town.

I don't know what relation Joe and Rob Manley at UCD last season were - possibly brothers.

Was it Jason and Barry Moran who were the brothers at Galway in the late 90s?

    Yup.

We also had Darragh and Declan Sheridan along with the Killeen brothers (Ronan and Conor).

A lesser known duo was probably Karl Sheppard and his brother David, who made a few first team appearances for Galway United under Sean Connor. He wasn't very good...

Conor and Ronan Frawley also featured for Galway United together.

    With Dundalk-
3 Lawlors-Mick, Martin and Robbie—and their father Kit.
3 O’Connors—Turlough, Miceal and Padruig—with Athlone as well as with Dundalk.
What about the Waterford Fitzgeralds….there must have been at least five of them.

Did Padraig O'Connor play for Dundalk?

    According to the excellent
    http://www.dundalkfcwhoswho.com/playerNames.php?p=O

Turlough played for the Liliwhites 1968-1969 while Michael played 1987 - 1988

Brian and Shane Nolan are twins and played for both Wexford and Waterford. The only twins? Gareth and Conor Wallace played for Wexford together. I think Anthony and Paul Rossiter who played for Wexford were also brothers, but I might be wrong there.

Yes, A Padruig O’Connor played with Dundalk in the1983-84 season… but he was NOT the brother of Turlough and Miceal.

I have a notion the aforementioned Morans of Galway were twins.

Can't believe I forgot Dave and Ev McMillan...

All the Kennys at Rovers I guess - Harry, Marc, Dave, etc.

Did they ever play on the same team? I think they did at some stage.

One for older listeners , who can ever forget the Cochran brothers played for a short time with Rovers circa 1974- they were affectionately known as Arse ‘n’ Bum truly obscure LOI legends
