No, that was Krylya Sovetov Samara, who were in the middle of big financial issues at the time. Still a great result for Pats though, especially coming back from 3-0 down in Russia

Wow, I've got that totally wrong. The name sounded familiar.

Yeah, Krasnodar were actually hardly even formed when Pat's beat Samara (was it 2008?) UCD were drawn against Krasnodar three years ago, but then lost the second leg against Slovan Bratislava and never got there. I think that's the closest a LoI team has come to playing Krasnodar.

Molde - who beat UCD on penalties last year - lost 10-1 to Chelsea.

In the Europa League, AEK Larnaka gave Bayer Leverkusen a heck of a game in Germany; took an early lead and were 2-1 down with two minutes to go, but eventually lost 4-2. But they - along with Cork's conquerors Rosenborg and, indirectly, Dudelange - are all on no points after two games.
Excellent result for Bohs, that late goal gives us a good chance of getting through. not sure if many went over (apart from club officials), most focus is on the trip to Cork on Monday. Would be nice if the U19s could get through a round (or two).

Bohs beaten 2-1 again by Midtylland tonight so the Danes go through 4-2 on aggregate.

This game bore a striking resemblance to many LOI European games. Bohs matched the Danes is most areas of the pitch but Midtylland were just ever so slightly more polished in the final 3rd. Mainly they just had one kid (didn't get his name but he wore no 13) and he was v classy and was the difference between the teams.

Number 13 for them I meant.
Shout out for the Bohs left full probably the eighth best left back in the league after all those Rovers left backs.

I looked up the Midtylland website this morning - that kid who was wearing no. 13 last night was Gustav Isaksen. He's only 17! Was streets ahead of everyone on the pitch last night I thought. Be interesting to see how he does in the next few years...

Midtjylland through to the quarter-finals now after beating Manchester United 3-1.
