It looks like the luck in getting a bye in the second round had a sting in its tail.

Two difficult sides. I hope for Cork's sake it is Rosenberg.

A tie against Celtic would be a circus and Irish Celtic fans will be clamouring for tickets and calling for the tie to be moved to the Aviva.

Assuming Celtic get through Cork will play the 2 teams who knocked us out of the CL in the last 2 years and we play the 2 teams Cork had last season in the EL!
Given the group they were put in before the draw, this is probably the best they could've hoped for. I'd fancy Celtic to go through from that tie and Rosenborg are beatable.

Probably not the best, Kukesi were the team to draw. But it certainly could have been much worse.

This shows the benefit of being seeded in the champions league first round. If Cork has have been seeded they would have had a winnable first round game and then be seeded for this round. It would be realistic to get to the Europa League play off then.

It’s a tough draw, but assuming it’s Rosenborg I wouldn’t be overawed. We really should’ve beaten them in the 2nd leg last year.

Cliftonville played Celtic in Sollitude, Cork would be foolish to move it.

Not the worst draw we could get, I reckon we should fancy ourselves to get past Graz assuming they lose to Ajax, they have not gotten beyond round 3 since 2011 and their league season kicks off this weekend. Now to focus on Larnaca, Mon the town!

Jeez there two really tough draws. I dont think dundalk would have any chance against Ajax if it came to it. Maybe strum graz. Think celtic will get past rosenborg who again will be tough.

Obviously going through the tie overall makes sense, but maybe a bit of building and forward planning, one win in a tie where a team like cork loses 3 or 4 - 1 overall would make sense if they were consistently getting into Europe.

You might be right, but I don't think Stephen Kenny would agree.

It would be an amazing occasion and an opportunity to get some payback for the 1987 defeat

Assuming Ajax beat Sturm Graz to go forward in the Champions League, I think the Austrians are not a bad tie for Dundalk.

They are just starting their season and did lose 10 league games last season.

Not easy of course, and Dundalk do have to get past Larnaca first. But not a disastrous draw.

Both Dundalk and Cork will have to be at their best to stand a chance.

Not a hope for either Irish team no matter who loses and ends up playing them, in my opinion (if Dundalk get through).

If you're going to get knocked out in Europe, it may as well be by a team like Ajax I guess.

Like England in the world cup, you need RK to reel ye in. Worry about Larnaca before you start even thinking about anyone else.

Ajax have brought back daley blind and dusan tadic. They are looking really strong again with a lot of younsters coming through again. Lets hope they beat Graz and we may not have to worry about them. That is if larnaca can be overcome
