Anyone know of places in Belfast that would be likely to show the Dundalk game ? Even if asked, rather than have it on anyway. Any sports bars there ?
Not to say it will be any cooler, but got a text from a mate in Larnaca last night, he's out for the game, said it was 27c at 6.30 local time, could even be hotter this Thursday as we are into August.
Dundalk flying out tomorrow am, basing themselves in Nicosia as its the warmest part, to acclimatize for the match.
Getting the first goal will make things interesting, but also no disaster if we go one behind, go two down and it probably will be curtains. Tough one to call, I think we will score, but AEK will be firm favourites that's for sure.
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), first Irish club to win points in a group stage in Europe (2016).
Cyprus and greece are normally mid 30s in August.

No league of Ireland team or fan should go anywhere without first checking in with Paul.
There I was going about my business preparing for a temperature of 27c and now I realise that the oven will be 8c degrees higher - and I can't even escape by going to Greece!
Don't be exaggerating now Ezeikial, no prophesying from me, it will only be 7 degrees warmer.

After being knocked out last of Europe last night by Trnava, Legia have sacked their manager who was only appointed in June - http://www.the42.ie/legia-warsaw-sac...58823-Aug2018/
In addition to their Champions League exit, Legia began their Polish title defence with a shock home defeat to Zaglebie Lubin. They also suffered a 3-2 defeat to Arka Gdynia in the Polish Super Cup.
This just makes Cork's performance look even worse now. Legia were there for the taking...
It is hard to fathom how much Legia have disimproved since getting to the Champions League two seasons ago. Cork must be beginning to realise that this was a huge missed opportunity. Opportunities to advance in the Champions League don't come about very often. It's hard enough winning the domestic league, to start with.
Another "if only" moment for a LOI club.
Thought we did really well in the first leg, could've been a different story in the second leg had we taken at least two of our chances in the first. It is hugely frustrating that we didn't do much over in Poland given their poor start to the season.
So next up is Rosenborg. If we get similar chances as we did against Legia, then we really need to put them away, but definitely keeping a clean sheet is massive here.
Big game tonight - good luck to Dundalk!
The Irish times online have it down as Champions league Google weather says 33 already at 12.30...
Dundalk are 7.5 for the score draw on 90, seems like a good bet.

Good luck to Dundalk this evening.
Hope they get through.
Chris shields is making the right noises in the Irish Sun anyway:
And in the next round against Hajduk Split, whom Dundalk beat 2-1 in Croatia having lost 2-0 at home, he realised that the gap was not as big as he might have imagined.
Shields added: “I remember walking out then, that was my first real club that I faced and I was a bit awe-struck at the start when you see the big stadium.
“But once you get into the play of things you *realise, ‘I’m not a million miles off these players, there is no reason why I should be fearing anything here’.
“We’ve strived as a team since that day and realised there is nothing to be afraid of in Europe. I think I have and a lot of the lads have, the *experience has stood to them.
“You see the likes of Dane Massey and Seán Gannon, who are record-setters for the club in European appearances.
“They’re quite assured in Europe.
“For the likes of myself, it’s time to stand up and *Robbie Benson has a great European pedigree because he scores goals.”
Gonna be very difficult out there in that heat, but they have a chance.
Believe to achieve!!! MON THE TOWN !!!
If anyone is in Belfast, Laverys Bar have told me they'll probably be showing the match.
Larnaca dominating early
good goal, dundalk good counter, Hoare should have tracked better.
