Minsk equalise, scrappy goal from yet another set piece.
Hugely impressive stuff from Derry.
After watching Cork on Tuesday, this restores my hope for the league.

Ou-est le Centre George Pompidou?
And, as usual, a LOI side gives away a sh1tty goal.
1-1 awful goal to concede, sloppy play to give away a free, then defense nowhere.
Derry could have been 2 or 3 up, instead floppy defending and poor finishing has them at 1-1. Another LOI story of dopey defending.
I'm a bloke,I'm an ocker
And I really love your knockers,I'm a labourer by day,
I **** up all me pay,Watching footy on TV,
Just feed me more VB,Just pour my beer,And get my smokes, And go away
Was thinking the exact same, but Cork played decent for 75 mins bar the usual crap of an individual stupid mistake costing them a goal. But cherrie played well 2nd half.
Dundalk the only only who can apply themselves, or the only ones the last few years anyway, 100% of of the time for the whole game.
There is no excuse for this other than perhaps lacking a bit of experience at European level, but most of the teams playing have that now with a few seasons in Europe.
The big one i used play on a few years ago was physicality and stamina, and i used get shot down. I was proven right, most of the teams now match that in Europe. But they lack that concentration for 100% of the the time to cut out those dozey mistakes.
The world cup, and Dundalk in previous seasons have shown that a well organised, concentrated team can compete against individual quality. There's no excuse anymore for LOI teams in Europe making these mistakes.

It's been pointed out by Dundalk fans, and I'd tend to agree. It's more down to mentality above anything.
Teams need to go out believing they can get a result, and management need to set them up in such a way that backs that up. Allowing no respect and getting into teams as if they would against Limerick or Bray is the only way you can progress with confidence through Europe. It's how Dundalk done it in their Europa run before and it's the only way teams will do it again.

These days I think it's more a case of mental exhaustion and lapses of concentration as opposed to any physical shortfall. Physically our teams should be as good as the european sides, and by and large they are. But in our domestic league guys probably learn bad habits and mentally get lazy because they're not severely punished whenever they switch off. Whereas in europe you usually cough up a goal-scoring opportunity for any slight lapse in concentration.
That's another thing that made Dundalk's run so impressive 2 tears ago. They really looked (and played) like they belonged.
2-1 Derry - it's the hope that kills ya...
Ou-est le Centre George Pompidou?
Jeez ....come on Derry!!!
Oh Derry! If you go out like this, it will be the home leg that will kill you.
10 mins to do it. Come on Derry.
Hard luck to Derry but a lot of pride restored in that effort. What could have been with a better result at home.
Tough luck on Derry - will be kicking themselves.
A timely co-efficient boost though.
Shiels giving it socks at the end to the officials - not sure what about.
Derry bow out, but at least they grab a coefficient point

Trophy Manager - online football managment game - I like it - I think I'm getting obsessed with it though.
That Dinamo side were there for the taking. Kenny Shiels had an awful go at the ref at the full time whistle. Very audible "diabolical" being screamed at the officials by him.

Hard luck Derry. Good win.
