We got a licence thanks to our new ground plans - for which planning permission was granted last week, and on which work will start in the next month or so! There will be various bits and pieces of work carried out to Finn Park in the next couple of weeks, but it hardly makes sense to go spending a heap of money on FP with us moving.

Do elaborate on the few idiots that couldn't stand a beating...

BTW, Pat Dolan is a shareholder in Harps so that may explain why he was present on Saturday night

Will ye be building a wall for the Gents again or will ye actually go to whole 9 yards and get a toilet?

I think that Colblimp is talking about a few young uns that were annoying us just after we scored and your stewards who werent very good.

Interesting that Dolan is a shareholder. Surely there would be a conflict of interest if he were to manage a team against Harps?
As I say, we're just young & a bit nieve.

    The plot thickens

Seriously though (if it's true), guys should take this into account before saying how great he was to go up supporting City.

The following are the arrangements for travelling Shamrock Rovers fans for the Finn Harps match.

Finn Harps have informed us that match tickets will be on sale at the Junction 15 bar which is not far from the ground. Our entrance is known as the Back Gate on Navanway Street. No flag poles will be allowed inside the ground, but plenty of space exists for flags and banners.

The Garda will operate stop and search barriers some distance from the ground. Drink will be confiscated and anyone drinking on the street will be arrested and held overnight then charged under the Public Order Act.

We are specifically asked to mention a no flares policy exists because they cause a serious problem for the sea rescue helicopter service which is close by. Local stewards will wear blue rain jackets with steward across the back. I would ask you to co-operate fully with all instructions given on the night.

Finally I would ask all our fans to be as vocal as possible to cheer the boys on, and drive safely home, we want to see you all at our next home game.

    John Noonan, Head of Security

mmmmm..... you wonder is this as a result of the rebel army creating a good match day atmosphere on the opening day of the season, some one should tell them that not all premier divison clubs travel the lenght and breath of the country in such numbers. Rovers will probably lucky to have 50 at the match but i supose with there reputation you cant be too carefull.

As for John Noonan if that is the tool with the glasses god help him if there is trouble.

To be fair to Rovers fans, they would have a pretty good travelling support.

Blimey, is that really him?!?! He's about as much use as an handbrake in a canoe... As far as I can remember, when the 'trouble' started, he was nowhere to be seen.
Football is life. The rest is mere detail...

The clue was in the fact that he used the terms 'we' and 'ours' when talking about rovers

I'm saying to kevin cronin that it was obviously a Rovers guy who wrote that warning letter (cos he referes in the letter to Rovers fans as 'our fans')
