4000-odd at Dundalk-Drogheda, I think I heard the PA man say. Something like 4,120. Nearly twice as many people as have gone to their home games over the entire season!![]()
I'd say 500 (if we're lucky) at the Orchard match tonight. Very disappointing!!![]()

Biggest crowd of the season so far for us,
New Stand = 1500
Shed End = 200
Jinks Avenue = 700
Total = 2400
Official attendance for Sligo v St Pats: 1,866 (counted at the turnstiles)
For the record, there are 1,550 seats in the new stand and 853 seats in the blue stand.
Very interesting... Where'd you get that info from? Any chance you can get some of the figures from the previous league games, or is it only because it was a Cup game that the attendance was counted?
I reckoned 500 at Longford-UCD. Main stand looked one-quarter full, with another 100 or so in the rest of the ground. Town fans reckon 800-1000.
Pats had people on each turnstile checking the numbers as they came in. They do this at cup games as they get a share of the gate. 1,866 was the total I got from them when I asked.
From what I saw they can't be far wrong. The new stand had about 200 empty seats, particularly at the end furthest from the turnstiles, the blue stand was probably a third full and there was probably another couple of hundred standing.
Pats certinaly wouldn't under estimate the crowd anyway.
800 at Longford v UCD according to yesterdays Sunday Independent.
Official attendnces for Cork City last 2 home league games as per UEFA cup programme.
Waterford 3,100
Shels 5,100.
Cant remember exact figures. Will check and edit tommorrow.
I'm what? I'm ants at a picnic?
That seems far too small, 1550 is the capacity in the new stand and the max amount of seats empty was 100 no way was there any more missing. Jinks avenue was probably 1/3 to a half full, around 250, And there were 200 or so around the shed. Looks like my guesstimate on jinks avenue was seriously dubious, but apart from there i was right. Now that i count it up that looks about right to your figure.Originally Posted by Stato
Why do people feel the need to add thousands to their home gatesCity v Shels i'd go for 7000 as very few empty seats &plenty of people standing, shed also had more than official capacity.![]()
John Delaney!! GET OUT!!!

I think they announced the Shels figure as 5350 or something. Waterford figure seems about right from my memory of the programme.Originally Posted by paudie
Its possible City don't include season ticket holders as hard to keep track of their numbers as they just flash a card at the gate?
Thought it looked bigger than that when I was down there last year. Does it go the full length of the pitch?Originally Posted by Da Real Rover
