New Stand and Main Stand is supposed to be 3,500 so if your percentages are right, and i'd go along with them I'd say, the figure would be higher.
Suppose we're doing this again?
We estimated 1,800 at Tolka for Shels v. UCD. Riverside was closed; the people in the open stand would have filled the Shed (600?) and the eircom stand was about 60% full (1200?). Maybe someone can fill in the stand capacities better and we can work out an attendance.
Ceefax has 3,000. Don't know where they got that from, but it looks far too high.

What's the breakdown between the two? Say 600 and 2900 - that gives a crowd of 2600 or so?
A bit more for the new stand and less for the Main stand I'd say. 900 for the new stand 2,600 for the main stand sounds more like it I'd say.
You don't like doing maths, do you?!
900 + 2/3 (2600) = 2633. Call it 2600. Wouldn't have thought that many, though if it fits the percentages...
2,477 was the figure given on the Shels forum by Fintan, I'd assume a figure that exact is the offical one.
start with a good figure,nice.....the setanta cup match attracted 1291 on a tuesday shels get double that on the wednesday....lets see how much will be in dalymount onfridayOriginally Posted by Slash/ED

Ceefax on BBC said 3,000, wonder where they got that from? the result was in with all the english non league scores
I'd say the 2,477 is probably correct as all clubs are supposed to submit official attendances to the League offices with 1/2 hour of the game finishing. That's a good crowd for a home game against UCD. Shels should double that for the visit of top clubs this season.
Aye, seems Shels and Bohs now releasing official attendances. Think Galway were as well last season? Any other clubs doing this, do people know?
Also good to see meself and Slash/Ed worked out the attendance to within 123 (or 5%) - we must be getting alright at the guesstimating here!

500 mentioned for Athlone v. Dundalk, though I always think the accuracy of any guess is inversely proportionate to the amount of exclamation marks in the post!
4,200 provisionally for Bohs-Rovers, though an official gate will be announced over the weekend. Bit after the 30-minute deadline, but anyway!
In the Star they had it as:
Athlone V Dundalk 250
Drogs V Derry 2007
Bohs V Rovers 4500
Bray V Pats 3000

There is meant to have been about 2500 up in Finn Park for Harps V City. Got that from City fan at the game. Harps fans might have a better idea.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
Jesus, thought there would have been more than that.Originally Posted by A face

Athlone v. Dundalk is up as 252 official per a Dundalk fan on their their forum, though 500 in the match report on the official website. 2,007 for Drogs v. Derry sounds official - are Drogs releasing attendances now too? This job gets easier by the season!Originally Posted by eamo
Bray fans agree the 3000 v. Pat's. Pat's fans on their forum mention the crowd as being a positive too, so must have been decent! For reasons of professional scepticism drilled into me during my training as an auditor, the Cobh attendance - at three times their highest crowd last season - sounds very high, especially on a night when Cork were playing elsewhere too. Anyone else confirm/deny the figure?

Is that final official? Sounds very round?! Presume the attendances are going in the programme like before?Originally Posted by Carlin

Have you got the crowds from the first day of last season Stu? That would be a good comparison to make imo.
Problem is that most teams playing at home then would have been away this weekend...
Still, for what it's worth:
Cork City v. Dublin City 6000
Waterford v. Drogheda 1700
Pat's v. Derry 2040
Shels v. Rovers 3500
Longford v. Bohs 1600
Athlone v. Monaghan 390
Bray v. UCD 1000
Dundalk v. Sligo 1000
Galway v. Kilkenny 720
Kildare v. Limerick 175
Harps v. Cobh 1000 (postponed a couple of weeks due to bad weather)
