Pat Dolans column in the Star this week was both pleasing and mad.

He was right to criticise the so called 'International Tournament' that the Eircom League XI will play in ( against Conference XI and other poor quality representational sides ).

He was wrong, if not totally naive to suggest that any of the St. Pats players are good enough for the National side.

Some of his other comments shocked me but I cannot recall them. To be honest, the League loses credibility if a High Profile sportsman like Dolan makes wild claims.
