The Between The Stripes podcast is saying the Sligo team have paid " a substantial portion" of their wages back to the club after going out to Longford?

by the way this is very spooky in 1969 we beat Sligo Rovers in the first round of the FAI cup and guess what in the second round we were drawn against Shels but got knocked out.
Its our first meeting with Shels in the FAI Cup since the 90/91 season when we lost 3-0 to them in Abbeycartron. Even in our glory years in the FAI Cup the two sides were kept apart.
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

It was on the astro, presumably because that's where the first team play most of their home games, so maximising home advantage. There was zero attempt to make an occasion of it or encourage a crowd. Now, the opposition wasn't exactly glamorous but it was a missed opportunity. Maynooth were very good incidentally and should have won by more. They know their system and pllay good patient possession football. Cork City will be some step up though! Leeds were poor and had four or five players looking unfit carrying a lot of weight.
I don't get this but maybe some of yous will

Brilliant idea, great to see. Hope none of the Maynooth lads were hoping to swap shirts with their LoI heroes!
