We lost on penalties the last time up there, and lost 1-0 in the cup quarters two years ago.

So you never know. But it's the draw I wanted to avoid for sure

I think you're being overly kind, especially to ourselves.

Due to our fixtures, the Dundalk-UCD will likely be Friday, the Cork match Sunday.

Should our match with Bohs, on Wednesday week, somehow go to a replay, there'll be a bit of rescheduling needed.
We won't have time to fit it in before the semi-final date, unless a league match is moved with less than a week's notice. Which they probably would do.

Did Dundalk play anyone in the top 8 teams in this year's cup on their way to this year's final?🤔
You make your own luck, I guess.

Other game will be tricky for cork , one way or another.

RTÉ usually like to have a double header of live Semi-final matches on the Sunday iirc

How much is it for the Irish Daily Mail?

The Irish Daily Mail has teamed up with the FAI to offer you a unique opportunity to enjoy the Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup final in the height of style.
We have Premium Level tickets (worth €30 each) to give away, and they are absolutely FREE.

If you want to experience the comfort and luxury of the Aviva Stadium Premium Level, then the Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup Final is the perfect time to do it.

It doesn’t matter which team you support, the Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup Final is the oldest and most prestigious match in the Irish football calendar and takes place in November 2018.

To get your hands on a pair of Premium Level tickets for the Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup Final in November, all you have to do is collect 18 differently dated tokens (including two tokens from the Irish Mail on Sunday).

Token one will be printed on Tuesday 11th September 2018.

I can't argue with a First Division team (the best First Division team granted but you get my point) at home but I can't help but feel Cork at home would've been a better draw. We'd be far more likely to beat them in Oriel than in a final in the Aviva. Still, we've avoided the nightmare draw of having to go down to the Cross.

Was really hoping for a UCD Dundalk final, two best footballing teams on a great pitch would have been a brilliant spectical.

Oh well, the total football derby will have to be brought forward by a few weeks.

Brendy I'm absolutely shocked that you didn't that our 1/4 final is to be played to a finish. No replays in the FAI cup this past 3 years.

To be fair, I was wondering if Corbet pronounces his name Neil. I'm guessing not.

Nobody seems to know for sure though. 3 years ago Derry-Cork quarter-final went to a replay, since then all QFs have been finished in 90 minutes. Semis have gone to a replay the last 2 years. Last year it was the last 32 and last 16 rounds only that were scheduled for no replays. Has it changed this season to include the quarters? Genuine question, I don't know and can't find any confirmation online. I had assumed we'd be coming back to Oriel if we'd drawn in Limerick on Friday

UCD are a decent team and are in semi-final by merit, but if they got to the final it would be the lowest attendance in years. Dundalk v Bohs might attract biggest crowd.

Dundalk v Cork would attract the biggest crowd followed by Dundalk v Derry then Dundalk v Bohs.
