It need rain and lots of it. I was at the game the other night, and Ive seen less sand on beaches. It certainly doesnt make for a decent game of ball at the moment. I suppose all the MFA can do is pray for rain.Originally Posted by A face
It was just on Chorus Sports from Friday night .... the pitch aint in good shape at all, it has sand all over it and some patchs look very bare altogether. I hope the MFA will get getting on the case and sorting this out fairly lively. Aint much time left at all.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

If at first you don't succeed, redefine success.

How did those games go and were there decent crowds at them?
I'm what? I'm ants at a picnic?
U19s won 1-0
Seniors won 2-0
Wasnt at the first one, but there was 350 - 500 at the senior game.
Look like the MFA have been praying as there has been a nice bit of rain in the last 24hrs. It should help the pitch no end.

They should get a few sprinklers, like.
Absolutely. The MFA have to realise that a sandy pitch just wont do for the champions elect!Originally Posted by anti dub

Football is life. The rest is mere detail...
Having a beach at the cross is taking summer football a bit too far.
