UCD Superleague 2004/05

Does anyone in here play or played in the UCD Superleague.

I have to say it is a great concept and the standard of football has improved over the years.

There are at least 10 teams who could hold there own in an outside league.

What do people make of it?
Anyone on here in a Superleague team?

Used to be, back in the day! Played from '97 to '01. Only Superleague team to have our own match programme and fanzine! Great fun, and the likes of the Superleague representative squad for those who want to take it bit more seriously works very well too.

There were some good teams alright - I know Boca Boateng had a couple of players signed for the UCD U-21s at one stage (and made it into CM!), though they never made the first team. Think Eóin Bennis and Mick O'Donnell played Superleague at one stage?

I think Kevin Grogan played for someone once, ahem, unofficially.

Yeah Boca are still there but they've gone to the dogs a bit.

It's a great league but the problem is always ****e teams getting in ringers at the end of the season and making a balls of the league.

Still though great craic
