Great stuff. nicell from our under 19 s was on bench for leeds
Leeds manager on Paudies debut, seems he did well, particular mention of the benefit of having that senior LOI experience under his belt prior to joining them.

3rd start in a row for Paudie tonight, lost 1-0 though.
O'Shaughnessy dropped out of the first team picture though?
Yes, injured since a game at the end of January, from what I read, he's not expected back this season.
Scored an OG at the weekend but looking at a few Leeds forums they seem to have been happy enough at his overall performance with some saying he'll be a consistent starter next season.
A new two year contract at Leeds was followed by a season long loan to Blackpool in L1 where he has started both league matches, and not tonights league cup game, although he did come on late on.

Paudie scored for Blackpool away to Arsenal last night, but was also sent off (a bit harshly I thought) for a cynical hack as Arsenal tried to counter.
I was reading the match report in The Times this morning. He scored with one header and came close with another. They said the red card was probably harsh but couldn't be considered wrong.
Another Irish centre half in League One as he's joined Lincoln City from Bradford.

Scored for Lincoln City, away to Bristol City, in the EFL Cup. Sean Roughan also started for Lincoln. Mark Sykes started for Bristol City but was substituted at half-time.

Peter O'Rourke of 'Football Insider' reports that Blackburn Rovers, Preston NE and Oxford Utd are "in a race" to sign Lincoln City captain O'Connor and the story has been repeated today on www.therealefl.co.uk . O'Connor (27), former Limerick, Leeds Utd and Bradford City CB,has made 104 appearances for Lincoln since joining them in 2022. He is out of contract next summer and 'Gary' on Lincoln City fan website The Stacey West is sceptical about the alleged 'race' and the timing of the story.

another of our centre back army.
Plymouth Argyle, who are a bit leaky at the back, are reported to have offered £250k for O'Connor, whose contract at Lincoln expires this summer. Lincoln rejected the offer and Argyle are expected to bid again. (staceywest.net, 24 Jan)
Derby County, Barnsley and Huddersfield all monitoring O'Connor's situation at Lincoln City, according to the Blackpool Gazette (12 May). The Limerick man is out of contract this summer but has yet to agree a new contract at Lincoln.
