    More useless info:
Morrissey changes the whole of 'Roy's keen' when he sings it live, as an homage to, well Roy obviously.
"have you ever seen a keener midfielder?"

    Mozz 1-0 Bono

As was said earlier, by numerous people, all thee songs would be great played in LR, but for a short piece of music for coming out of the tunnel, I'd still go for WTSHNN
I liked morrisey until he start paying hommage to ****

Not sure about it being rewritten as Vindaloo, weren't they both for France '98? AFAIK it's based on "My Darling Clementine", only speeded up a bit. I remember the lads from Dario G (named after Dario Gradi - Crewe's manager!) saying it was supposed to be the most popular terrace anthem around the world, so that's why they used it for the World Cup.

    When the day is dawning,
and three more points are callin'
How I long to be there
When Robbie Keane scores for me
    Every lonely city
    Where i hang my hat
    Aint as half as pretty,
    As where my Keanos at

Is this the way to Germany oh?
Every night ive been hugging my pillow
    Dreaming dreams of Germany oh
And Robbie Keane who scores for me
Show me the way to Germany oh
Ive been weeping like a willow
    Crying over Germany Oh
And Robbie Keane who scores for me

Sha la la la la la la Keano
Sha la la la la la la Keano
Sha la la la la la la Keano

And Robbie Keane who scores for me
Who is this guy, Trapper Tony?

Seems that the la la song, vindaloo, and carnival de paris are all the
same thing based upon "oh my darlin clemtine"
    Agreed?
Here is a ringtone of it.

Excellent. Euro thrash pop at its best! It couldn't be any cheesier but it definitely works.

The ring tone and music stream above don't sound the same at all. Although its the first time i've realised that Europe ripped off I will Survive in The Final Countdown...
"I don’t want to tempt fate, but Thierry Henry is not having one of his best nights." - RTE co-commentator Jim Beglin, minutes before TH struck the stunning winner.

yes glap that's the one. I know the fench (only when they win mind! and win well) play the last 2 mins of this song to get their crowd going - and it works as far as atmosphere's concernded.

Don't think it should be used as the entrance theme, just don't think its suited.. would be class to play it after every time we score..

"definetly not an entrance theme, but yeah you're right - play the most suitable bit of the song after we score - but more appropriately straight after a win - fcuking hell I wish one of us had the job of the music guy at Ireland matches instead of some lame dumbass

Not the entrance theme, but one of the main warm ups. I'll never forget Amsterdam when they played it about 15 mins before kick-off. The whole crowd was hopping. Obviously it helps to have an ultra modern stadium with a fantastic sound system but even still it was great. That said, I'd had about 8 pints and quite a bit of Amsterdam's finest and by and large life was just wonderful

WTSHNN for the intro still for me.

I honestly don't think we need music for when we score.

I'm not mad on the Carnival de Paris. I know it's popular across Europe but I just can't differentiate it from Fat Les and the legions of yobs that follow the Brits.

speaking of Holland - the organisers who play the music at Lansdowne always fail to miss an opportunity. With 10,000 Dutch supporters and 30,000+ Irish supporters at the Jason McAteer game in 2001 it was the perect scenario for "The Red Rose Cafe" to be played. This song is well known in both countries. No imagination

Response from the FAI on the entrance tune

"Many thanks for your information received."

"In actual fact we would consult the International players on which music rouses them on entry to the pitch and we have had various discussions with some fan bases around the country."

"As I am sure you will appreciate it is not always possible to please everyone given the short space of time we have for song playing"

"I will however pass on your comments at our next event preparation meeting."

Many thanks for your query and continued support."
