Spoke to a satellite installer about this - you need to call them up and ask for a stand-alone subscription for Setanta and request a card. Should be straightforward enough. If you subscribe to NTL ( kind of implies you pay for the NTL package itself ) then Setanta comes as a free to air channel

Just to go off topic but i see that Setanta are in the bidding to buy NTL.
