pats V city- a other view

i was at the game with the missus and well done to the usual 50 or so city fans who travelled to the game.

i was sitting at the opposite end of the stand and it was a bit weird shouting like a maniac surrounded on my own by city fans.

all told it was a cracking game one of the best i have seen this year and certainly was better than the rubbish on the fa cup on bbc.

from a city point of view the game was a disaster. we threw it away and we were the better team for most of the second half (not that brain kerr and rte would be any help in their highlights - you think pat's swamped city).

however because of poor finishing from our strikers and poor passing from our misfield we paid the price for it as pat's when they had to passed the ball to feet.

we hoofed when we should have been passing and our defence was a shambles.

for the equalising goal everyone knew the run osam was going to make except apparentely derek coughlan. the man was dire today as was deccie. devine apart from conceding that stupid free kick played very well. osam in the last 20 and ger mccarthy looked great for pat's

sorry lads but shels are going to kill us next week

Yes, but you have only noticed that now Dalo. Whenever City play FOOTBALL, we get good results. God knows the players are well capable of it, so why they dont is a mystery to me!

Do you think that anything will happen to that Pats "fan" that started waving the flare at the city fans heads? Was he even thrown out of the ground or was it just the stand? "You're scum andyou know you are" would never have been more approprite, but would have definitly worked against us!
As I say, we're just young & a bit nieve.

From where I was standing it looked like he was cautioned by the Gardaí as they were writing stuff into a notebook.
