got myself 5/1 from PP about a Top Three finish for Pat's (before the opening match). very happy with that (despite the opening match)
Both defenses were dodgy. I'd put that down to it being the first game and new players getting to know each other though. I thought the football ye played was very good, even before the sending off, but ye were caught badly on the break. Your midfield will play through a lot of teams.
Anyone see prices for the '19 First Division anywhere yet?
Was looking on PP last week and couldn't find a book for the Premier or the First up yet
EDIT:
And course soon as I say that and check they're up!

Pats look the best value for money bet there. Lack of goals cost them last season and their signings may have addressed that, not saying they will win it but look decent odds. In the first Division its anyone bar Shels (given those odds), Bray look solid enough so might be worth a punt, if anyone is going to beat the Tolka galacticos.
Bizarre odds for the two promoted teams. Not going to win the league obviously, but shouldn't be as far adrift as those odds suggest
No odds for Limerick? PP thinking they won't get a licence?
Aye, they've only outrights up at the moment, nothing else up like top scorer etc yet either as far as I can find. It should be decent e/w odds for the chasing packs in the premier and the first for a bet on who'll finish top 3, Pats or Sligo with Bucko as dark horses looks a decent e/w bet in the premier. No value at all really on the singles outside of that end of things yet.
Obviously PP got the same legal notice Foot did.

Its hard to see any real value for the league title betting at this stage.
While lots of things could change before the league kicks off Cork City currently look weaker than last season when the squad needs to be stronger than what came in 10 points shy last season.
Shamrock Rovers have definitely made some significant signings, but it remains to be seen if the midfield will be imbalanced. A striker is critical to their chances while there may also be defensive frailties despite a good record in the latter part of the season.
Dundalk are settled in terms of the core of the squad, but still need to add some quality additions to improve on last season. I doubt the absence of Stephen Kenny will have a significant impact in the short term.
Its hard to see any other teams mounting a serious and sustained challenge although the progress of St Pats Waterford and Silgo will be interesting to watch.
There might be some action in the handicap betting odds
I think Longford @ 16/1 is the best value between both of the divisions
Pats @ 25/1 not the worst outside bet to throw a spare couple of euro on
The Leinster Senior League needs a strong Bohemians
The absence of a credible manager could destabilise dundalk, but there quality on the pitch should see them through. If they lose Shields for a period of time that could have an effect also.
I don't see Rovers finishing any higher in the table with no credible goal getting striker. If that changes I'll head to the bookies. Cork should split the 2 I'd say.
I think Cobh will be ahead of us in the table considering the big signings they have made so I am surprised we are ahead of them in the betting stakes! we havent even a sub GK yet which worries me.
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
If the Dundalk management are able to keep the continuity they'll run away with it for me,Rovers a distant second,so many changes for everyone else very hard to predict how they'll fare.
