3-0 win and Obafemi came on for the final couple of minutes.

I'm very much pro-Obafemi but moaning when you don't get your own way is absolutely an attitude problem by any definition.

Appreciate that Diggs. And while the two first links do point to something a little more than having a moan, the third one is an example of that. Even in the other stories, I don't think the criticisms amount to enough to enough to call him a bell end. It's a little hard to put a finger on what they're referring to - both managers seem to refer to his professionalism away from the club, but Russell Martin specifically notes that it's not something serious and just compares him to other players, who apparently put in more work away from the training ground and makes a reference to timekeeping. This seems to match up with Hassenhuttl, who seems to want him to work harder because he can see him having a big future if he does. I think Hassenhuttl later praised Obafemi's work on the training ground. So perhaps Oba needs to work a bit harder when he's on his own, particularly as I think he has a body type that needs a lot of work to maintain the required level of fitness. But I think he showed again last night what he can do, even if he didn't change the game like he did in the earlier tie
looks to have scored the winner today. he is our best striker by a mile
he just needs to be an adult and take the hits life throws at u
Not entirely sure how bad being a tulip is but, yeah, sure why not? Great to see him scoring for his club again - I'm going to call it at this point, as long as he stays fit (which unfortunately for him is far from certain - he was even struggling against Ukraine), he will top Niall Quinn's mark. He's the one player in the squad seems able to make things happen around the penalty area consistently. Apart from his two awesome goals and one awesome assist, he started the move that led to our best chance in the Ukraine defeat, it was his run from halfway that led to the corner we scored from against Scotland and of course he set up the Parrott miss, where he was able to outrun the Scottish defense... with the ball at his feet. One of the big problems with us under Kenny is that we often seem toothless in attack, particularly against well-organized defenses - Obafemi has eased that issue somewhat.
Gotta love the Championship.. few weeks ago Swansea were second last.. now up to the play offs positions
Why I love the Championship too.
No EPL hype: nirvana.
Fewer massive egos: hallelujah.
More physical: bring it on.
Hoofathon City? I'm of agricultural stock.
More organic: no VAR.
Play-offs: all-or-nothing ding-dongs.
Managers: P45 specialists.
Special bonus: Irish everywhere, some with the accent.
But there's more: Return of the Deserter?

Just grabbed a goal, looked good today albeit against 10 men,but looks strong and hungry….
Irish by birth ,Harps by the grace of god.
He reminds me of Romario
Not quite as good!!. But his finishing style
Swansea City manager Russell Martin admitted on Thursday afternoon that Michael Obafemi's fitness had significantly improved in the last week. Obafemi was pictured in Swansea's training session on Thursday. "He's back on the grass," said Martin of the frontman. "He's in a much better place than he was, physically. We've got to build him up and get him properly fit. ... His data has been really good this week compared to where it was last week, there's been a big jump. He looks in a much better place. It's about how he trusts his body and where he's at in the stage of rehab." (Wales Online). Obafemi was not included in the squad for the away game at Coventry (17 Dec).
Not in the squad tonight as Swansea win 4-0 against Watford, Swansea's first league win since October. PunditArena last week said he was expected to play a full part in the festive period, but obviously that hasn't happened. He may still be lacking match fitness, but his manager's comments in the article aren't encouraging in general -
3 goals in 19 is a disappointing return given his strong form between Feb and June. You'd imagine he's a guy at a point where his career could easily go one of two quite different ways from here.Michael hasn’t done well enough,” said Martin. “He had a great end to last season. He’s not given us anywhere near enough this season, he knows my thoughts on that. I think we’ll have to wait and see (on potential January interest).
“You take a step forward and then two steps back. He knows my thoughts on it. We’ve had really honest chats."
A rather ominous (for Obafemi and his agent - and Stephen Kenny) comparison between Obafemi and Liam Cullen, in the Swansea manager's post-match comments.
"Joel Piroe actually said to me this week 'Liam Cullen is good for me'," revealed Martin. "I think you can see why and you can understand why. They have a really nice connection already and hopefully they can keep on building that........He deserves his chance on the pitch because he's come on and had an impact in the last couple of games. "It's about his behaviour every day. He's all in. He trains so hard and leaves nothing on the pitch. ..... It's been really important to know you have people who are willing to go through a bit of pain for you."
Commenting on Obafemi, who was left out of the squad, Martin said: “The relationship needs to be reciprocal. We give the players everything we possibly can and we still wonder if that’s enough. “But energy is not limitless, it is not boundless. At some point it needs to be reciprocal and at some point it’s better investing it in people who really want it.” (Wales Online, 31 Dec).
That doesn't sound good at all. The lad needs a good shake. Thought he'd turned a corner but it doesn't look like it. Will end up a wasted talent along with Connolly if he doesn't cop on.
