I think last night showed that a number of united players are just not able for the top level anymore. Keane, Scholes and maybe even Giggs are just not good enough to win a CL anymore. This is not a knee jerk reaction to last nights result, I just think the Man u midfield is badly lacking the creativity needed to win such competitions and break down top class teams like Milan.
The defence and attack is good, no problems with Rooney and VN(although contributed little last night), Ronaldo was terrible too but is only 20 so theres still plenty of time for him to develop.
But this season has being average for Keane, poor for Scholes, only Giggs has at times played well.
I think unless ferguson realises this quick, it will be a long road back for Man u. Gattuso was mentioned the last few days, ideal replacement for keane but doesnt have the creativity needed, a good winger is badly needed perhaps someone like wright-phillips?!?
