Finished 0-0 against Galway out in UL.

Very few chances at all, a couple of weak shots. Nothing much happened, except for a studs-up lunge from a Galway trialist that resulted in a straight red card.

for future reference for anyone going to Roadstone and not from dublin and getting off at Cheeverstown Luas stop it can get confusing.

The naas Road in question is the one out to Lucan and not to Citywest which I initially thought. Its very close to the N7 dual carriageway. Some facility Rovers have with their pitch and putt course plus pitches plus leisure complex.

I got completely lost and typed in address on google maps but because you are not near buildings I ended up on the N136 road the other way and ended up at Tallaght Leisure Complex close to the N81 road to Blessington! I had no choice but to call into them and order a taxi and head back the other way so I only managed to see the second half!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

    Tuesday:
Tramore AFC 0-1 Waterford FC (Dean Walsh)

Good run out 45 mins per player (1 got an hour) with 21 players used. 3 Trial players and 6/7 17’s 19’s featured

    Friday:
    Waterford FC 4 - 1 Wexford

Holohan x 2, Izzy and an OG for Waterford.. Dobbs for Wexford.

Again 3 trial players featured, and ended the game with mainly 19’s and 17’s.

Two good run outs this week.

Expect more first team players to feature for longer in a more serious game next Friday against Cabo... while on Saturday anyone who doesnt feature, and 17’s 19’s go to Cork to play MSC semi final.

Gary Shaw made two assists in a 3-1 pres-season match against Longford on Saturday.

While I have always considered him a very limited player, my admiration and respect for him has risen after reading about his hard work to make an early recovery from a horrific injury suffered towards the end of last season

ARM AGONY Shamrock Rovers ace Gary Shaw makes remarkable comeback from horror injury

Striker Shaw has remarkably returned to action just three months after the arm-break

Some manner of new thread maybe?

Are Drogheda likely to be that much weaker than last year?

Otherwise, seems reasonable that it'll be a tight enough division.

I don't know what lead them to have us as such favourites before we had even had any players signed. Imo we have to be aiming to win the division, but I think it's much closer than the odds suggest.

It's gonna be a tough league. With nearly half the division getting promotion or a playoff, most teams in the division will be in the running for those until at least halfway through the season, unless some mad gap develops.

From our point of view, we need to finish teams off when we're on top. If we don't develop that habit, I would worry about our title chances.

Cancelled: Tomorrow Wed 24th UCD AFC v Derry City, AUL Complex MATCH OFF

".......It was going to be a second run out for Collie O'Neill's side after the great display against Premier Division Bray Wanderers last Friday (0-0).UCD Supporters Blog Match Report: http://ucdsupporters.ie/blog/2018/01...rs-00-ucd-afc/More of the spacious passing was expected from the SSE Airtricity League side, for their part The Candystripes are playing a number of games in the Dublin area and continue to add to their squad. It could have been a competive game on the fast astro at AUL.Like the Bray game IF the match had gone ahead, @UCDFANS twitter would have had Match Updates to keep UCD Fans informed. But none of that is going to happen now. #COYBIB

Ouch!!! That was a nasty one indeed!! But it was a damn disgrace the length of time it took before getting proper treatment even in the form of basic pain relief. Might be a blessing in disguise if it highlights an issue before the sort of serious injury where timely intervention is crucial. Shivering in shock probably too but to be left in wet gear???

I don't think it'll be a blessing in disguise. I don't think any LOI game has an ambulance on standby and many grounds aren't very accessible for ambulances. Tallaght is an exception but it's not due to anything Rovers have done, just that it's an accessible stadium 300 yards from a major hospital. I think United Park is right beside Lourdes too?

100%, we have the civil service on duty at every game. Takes them an hour to get off the bench sometimes but they are there none the less.

Ambulance at every Harps game. There were three needed for the Sligo League Cup game last season in fact.
