people seem to have a very bad opinion of Trundle wanting to play for Ireland because hes playing div3. Surely we should be delighted that this guy wants to play for Ireland and wish him the best of luck....
He obviously has the required Irish connections and if Brian Kerr thinks hes good enough then GREAT!

personally i've seem him a few times and dont think hed be international class but maybe he could be a late developer....

I remember being at the Irish team's open training session a year ago before the Czech game; my little brother asked Brian Kerr if he'd give Lee Trundle a shot.
Kerr looked at him with a "ah c'mon" look, and said "have you seen him play?"
My brother said yeah, and the Kerr left it by sayin': "Are ye jokin' me?"

I think Trundle's mentioned a few times that Kerr said he'd have a chance if he moved up a division, but I've never seen any direct quotes from Kerr on that, but we'll just have to wait and see...

Fatso and Big Nose from Shels would be ahead of him imo. The naysayers are always going on that the eL is only League 2 standard, yet here we are debating a League 2 player wanting a call up! At least Byrne has many years left in him to develop in International football....
If you attack me with stupidity, I'll be forced to defend myself with sarcasm.
