We've signed Barry Maguire.
Which on paper is a ridiculously good signing for us.
So yay team!
Craig Rodden gone from Sligo
https://twitter.com/sligorovers/stat...68951736619009Sligo Rovers wish to confirm that midfielder Craig Roddan has departed the #bitored by mutual consent. We thank Craig for his service for over two seasons with the club and wish him well in the future.
Rovers signing Alan McManus and rumoured to be recalling Micheal O Connor
At least we'll have the best keeper in the league in the summer.
Great news on manus.
If MOC is recalled can he play straight away or is it July?
This should really restore the confidence of Horgan and Chencinski over the next 10 weeks before Mannus arrives
Didn't Mannus leave right as Shamrock Rovers played in the Europa League? Bad timing. Obviously there was better money etc, but still.Hopefully, his return will be better timed, given the recent mishaps between the sticks at the club.
He left Rovers after helping them through to the next round of the Europa league by invoking a clause in his contract that allowed him to leave to a UK club
He should be a good addition to them even if he will be available for only the last 12 league games

They may stay up yet....
He must be about 37 now he’s not guaranteed to be as good as he was. Admittedly I haven’t seen him play lately though so maybe he is.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.
35 and still st johnstone's number 1. Doesn't look like they want him to leave either, their fans seem upset too based on twitter.
According to his Wiki entry he will be 36 in May and appears to have been first choice for St Johnstone in recent matches.
I think that this he is likely to solve the goalkeeping catastrophe when he eventually plays.
Hopefully this ray of optimism shining in the distance will be enough to encourage the Rovers decision makers to keep their powder dry on managerial changes.

You know he has a twitter account Ezekiel? So even if he is sacked you'll still have a place to find his unfiltered thoughts 24/7.
Would it have been wiser not to announce this signing until closer to July? There are 2 keepers at the club that have to be kept motivated for the 12 matches or so and this will hardly help their battered confidence. Maybe professional pride might even have them up their game but its hardly man management at its best. If its partly PR to calm the restless in Tallaght its not just a manager feeling under pressure but a board too as surely they could have kept it under wraps knowing a problem area was being sorted by the manager.
As for why Mannus would opt to leave leave a likely lucrative contract extension from an SPL club where he is highly regarded by the supporters....well kitchen sink and all that!! It's made for Mannus to scuff a backpass in to his own net on his return debut lol![]()
