    Dooley Sadlier New Winger
    New Strker

Always a fun time to see fans of the small regional clubs devoting so much time to discussing Cork City FC.

Sounds like Ronan Murray will be filling in that New striker role.

It’s even funnier to see “the big club” have some success and aim there celebrations at other clubs rather there own team success 😳😳

Some fans of yours been at it non stop since the league win. A long with that, Karl Sheppard went from been average and no loss, to a great wind up merchant and a big re-signing and great business by Cork in the eyes of some cork fans. Not painting them all but there’s a fair whack on them online. I had a Cork fan go and text via WhatsApp about Dundalk straight after the cup final and not about the win 🙄🙄🙄

Right, and as I said earlier, it is a fun time to see fans of the small regional clubs devoting so much time to discussing Cork City FC.

    It wasn't the club so!?

And since when have 100% of fans not included some idiots? We have the biggest following in the country, so of course some idiots will raise their heads. This is surely not a surprise. It happened with Sligo, Pats and Dundalk in previous years too.

A city fan said Sheppard was average? I don't doubt there's a couple of clueless people in any fan base but there's no way in hell that was a majority view.

Sheppard was abused by a section of the City support throughout the entire game v Bray. But come on - football fans in fickle shocker. It barely even merits discussion.

Typical short sighted view. Reading between the line and choosing what to take from it. Never said mentioned the club saying it. I jokingly replied to a comment by a person referring to other fans, which was why I responded to it. The fact people taken it so hard tells it’s own story 🙄🙄🙄

One thing I will say, a chunk of Sligo’s online base through social media do seem to come across quite bitter and delusional. If you refer to Shamrock Rovers as ‘Rovers’ you seem to get some sort reaction from a Sligo😳😳

Rory Hale signs for Derry from Galway on a one year deal.

Interesting to note that his grandfather played for us in the late 60s/early 70s. Scored 100 goals in three seasons. Some going.

Not because he was average though! In fact, probably the opposite

Great signing for Derry. Hale only joined us in August but really stood out. Best of luck to him.

Kenny making it clear that Sheppard had signed a pre contract with Dundalk as long ago as September. Not too impressed with Caulfield either.

Does anyone know the precise legal standing of a pre-contract?

Been a while since I studied contract law but I expect Dundalk could in theory pursue Sheppard for breach of contract. I doubt they’ll be bothered however as Sheppard is unlikely to have much in the way of assets. Won’t affect his registration for Cork anyway.
